This card is following the fab sketch over on the Sugar Bowl, with the added extra of ribbon & bows. I used this gorgeous little stamp, after having a look through my stamp box I realised I had only used her once before and she was feeling a little neglected lol!!!!.

A few cards

Finally I have a few cards to show you. I have managed to find a couple of hours to myself amongst all the chaos and came up with these. They are not for any challenges I just made them cause I wanted to & needed to, was getting major withdrawal symptoms.

Whilst sorting of my stuff, I came across this fab paper and embellishment pack which came free with a mag. So I decided to put it to good use at long last.
The images are Greetings Farm, Sugar Nellie & Messy Rabbit, flowers are Floral Doodles by petaloo and Papermania adhesive gems.

Finally here is a piccy of my little angel with her Nebuliser, she is such a star!!!!!.

As you can tell by her face, she is looking a little unwell at the moment, its so sad to see her so different from her normal self.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

There is a fabulous sketch over at the Sugar Bowl this week with an amazing prize of the new collection of 8 Diane Dudda stamps soon to be released. You also have to include Blue & Green on your card to be in with a chance of winning, well I had these papers left out from the last card I had made and they were prefect for the challenge. I also coloured the image in with my PM's following the tutorial over on Joey's blog and I have to say am very pleased with the results, I seem to be getting a lot better with my shading.

The papers are DCWV Nannas Kitchen, Gorjuss Girl image from Sugar Nellie, Petaloo flowers, Dovecraft ribbon, Papermania adhesive shimmer dots and the sentiment is my own computer generated design.

How to catch a butterfly

Second post from me today, although I didnt get as much crafting in as I thought. A friend came round for a cuppa and a chat while her daughter (who is in Oli's class) played outside with the kids. This is quite a simple card as I was following the fabby sketch over on Papertake Weekly by the lovely Dawny P. Great simple sketch with plenty of room for added embellies although I did keep it quite simple.

The image is a gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp, papers are Basic Grey Wisteria (just got them today and they are totally gorge) Poppicraft flowers, Anitas spotty ribbon & Papermania pearl brads & sticker sentiment.

Double Challenge Card

It was Abbies first day at nursery today and I was really dreading it, although she has been there a few time with me going to parent & toddler this was the first time she would be left on her own. I had nothing to worry about however as she was fine, she was constantly on all morning asking when it was time to go and was so excited. When we got there she went straight in, said hello to the class rabbit & went and popped an apron on and started painting. I said i'm going now and she just turned round and said bye!!! and carried on. Hubby and I popped into town and it was great shopping without having to have eyes in your backside. When we went to pick her up she didnt want to come home and was very dissapointed, just hope thats how its going to be all the time.

Anyway I have made a card tonight which hopefully covers 2 challenges, the first is Cute Card Thursday which is floral fantasy & the second is One Stop challenge which is decorative cuts - such as die cuts etc.

The image is Picking Apples from Sugar Nellie cut out using Nesties label 2, paper is Basic Grey porcelain, corners cut with a Sizzix die, flowers are a 2" Dovecraft punch, Prima & paper roses from the Range. The ribbon is from stash, which IRL is the same green as the cardstock & Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.

Move over to the Dark Side!!!

There is an amazing sketch over on the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week, desigined by the fabulous Tiets. I love working with her sketches they always seem to have a lot going on in them. I decided to use another of my Gorjuss Girls that I had for my b'day and fancied doing something a bit different, so I ditched the pastels and went over to the dark side. I love how it has turned out I think it looks a bit quirky and different to my normal style, but can see me doing something like this again.

The Gorjuss image is Sugar Nellie, papers are My Minds Eye, Poppicraft flowers with Papermania pearl brads, Dovecraft gem flower brad, Raffia from Hobbycraft and my own conputer generated sentiment.

Birthday Weekend

Hi everyone,

No card from me tonight, with Abbies birthday on Wed and mine on Fri, there has been no card making in this house. I would like to say a big thanks to some of my blogging buddies who sent me lovely cards and presents, they were much appreciated. I had some lovely crafty items from my family including 12 Sugar Nellies, so be prepared for a sugar overload on my blog. I finally got my much awaited MS punch from my dad and my lovely hubby has got me a few sets Nesties & a couple more MS punches (although i am still waiting for them to come). I also had a bit of money so I have had a little spend over at The Glitter Pot & Poppicrafts and I got myself some gorgeous K&Co paper pads and some of that Raffia lace from Hobbycrafts. I had some lovely none crafty stuff including jewellery, perfume, PJ's and a couple of new tops and some of my fave Soap & Glory products off the kids. My dad who's birthday is the same day as mine (I was his 18th present) treated us to a lovely meal in Fri night & we all went out to the family club we normally go to on Sat and saw a cracking band. Then today we took the kids over to Telford park for the day then came back and had a lovely family bike ride (again I am now struggling to sit!!!). Well I hope I havent bored you with my run down of my weekend, I will be posting some new cards very soon I have some new stuff that is just shouting out to be used.

In the peach

I have had a lovely day of shopping today, not!!!! . Whilst my mum looked after Abbie we went birthday shopping for her, armed with a list made up from Abbie from Argos & the ELC catalogues. She has gone made for a pink DS and one of those my little sister Rosie dolls. Well do you think they had her anywhere no!, we checked out all the Argos's and any other toy shops we could think of but they were all out of stock. Luckily my mum called and told me that Abbie had been showing her the dolls in the Argos book and she now wanted the Roxy doll and not the Rosie, a quick check at Argos showed they had one in stock so off we dashed. Managed to get most of other stuff she wanted quite easily so it turned out ok in the end. We then decided to go to a pub for lunch before we picked her up which was nice.
Anyway onto my card, there is yet another fab sketch over on Sketch Saturday this week. I decided to use one of my fave Sugar Nellie stamps and make her peachy.

The image is Sweet & Sassy, papers are Basic Grey porcelain, fancy edge was done with a Fiskars lace border punch, prima hydrangers & paper roses from the range.

Birthday Girl for Secret Crafter

* UPDATED Mon 2nd March* Have also decided to enter this card in the Colour Create challenge, whos colours this week are Brown & Blue.

I made this card following the sketch for Secret Crafter and decided that I like the colour scheme for the Basic Grey card so much I did another in the same colours. This time I used chick-a-dee instead of daisy.

The image is Sugar Nellie, paper is Basic Grey Offbeat, fabric flowers & gems are Papermania, sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the corners are from a Sizzix die cut out on the Big Shot.

Daisy for a special sister

I am going to try and get in front this year with my birthday cards, I usually leave them to the last minute. My sisters birthday is 9 days after mine so its not really that far away now. I decided to use my new Daisy stamp and have tried to fit the card in with a challenge. I have done the card using the colours Blue & Brown which were a combination you could pick for the Basic Grey Challenge.

The image is Sugar Nellie, papers are Basic Grey Offbeat collection, flower is 2 poppicafts doctored to fit together, Dovecraft brad, the gems are Papermania and I coloured them with a permanent marker to match the colour scheme, finished with a Craftwork Card oval sentiment.

Chick-a-Dee in Pink & Grey

I decided to have a go at the Colour Create challenge, this week the colours are Pink & Grey. I dont think I could have picked a harder week to join, I could not find any pink or grey papers at all. In the end I went for grey cardstock and some white paper with pink flowers on, hope its ok. The added extra was cute and cuddly, well I think this image is sooo cute and the little chick is quite cuddly. Hope you like the image it is my first one I have coloured with promarkers, does it look ok.

The image is a new Sugar Nellie stamp called Chick-a-Dee, not sure who the paper is buy I just found it in my stash. Ribbon & gems are papermania, the flowers have been made using 2 different size X-Cut flower punches, the sentiment is by Craftwork Cards.

MIL Birthday meets the Sugar Bowl

Its my mother in laws birthday on Thursday and I have made her these 2 cards, one off us and one off the kids. As they both feature Sugar Nellie images and only 1 piece of patterned paper, I am entering them into this challenge.

This one is off Rich and me, the image is by Leanne Ellis at Sugar Nellie coloured in with whipsers pens and them chalked over using orange & yellow chalks. (you cant really see it in the pic but it does look a lot more distressed IRL .The pape is My Minds Eye and I have dulled it down a bit again with some yellow & orange chalks. Flowers are Prima with a charm from ebay, little pink gems from Papermania and lace from my shop. I have also done some REAL!!!! stitching round the edges of the paper & the image. (Dont know why the flower looks so bright on the pic IRL it actually matches the paper).

This one is off the kids and I have used another SN stamp called Sweet & Sassy, The paper is My Minds Eye an again I have stitched around the edge. Flower is Prima & Poppicraft with a Dovecraft flower brad in centre, Dovecraft organza ribbon and the sentiment I have generated on the computer.
