Sweet 16

My Niece is 16 on Thursday and I wanted to make her a special card. So I chose to do a criss cross card with pull out tag featuring a gorgeous FF bear. I am entering this into the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday which is BLOOMING GORGEOUS, I think I have enough flowers on the card to enter. I am also entering it into the Forever Friends Challenge which is inside/outside, with my decorated inside being the little pull out tag.

Papers - Forever Friends Pink Pafait
Gems - Papermania adhesive shimmer Dots

The Circus!!!!! and a challenge card.

Well I had the most fabulous night last night, went to see the gorgeous Take That at the Ricoh in Coventry. It was the most spectacular show I have ever seen it wasnt a concert it was a show!!!. Everything about it was amazing, we were stood about 10 foot away from the centre stage so had a great view when they came out the middle which they did repeatedly throughout the show. Gary looked gorgeous as always and the rain held off until the end. The best part had to be the elephant emerging out of the centre stage and carrying them off over to the top stage, that elephant was just something else. But guess which numpty forgot to take her camera!!!!!!!. It was a night I will never forget and would go to see it again without a second thought.

Anyway better show you my card. It is made following the sketch over on Sketch and Stash and my new item is the Tilda image and the gorgeous DCWV papers.

Image is from the Magnolia chasing butterflies collection, papers are DCWV Nanas Kitchen, Prima & Poppicraft flowers with Papermania gem brads. Craftwork Cards oval sentiment & Papermania adhesive shimmer dots, ribbon from the Range.

New Charisma Challenge

Its Thursday, so that means it time for a new Charisma Cardz challenge.
This weeks challenge is THANK YOU. You can make whatever you like as long as it is something that has thank you on it.

The prize this week is a secret, none of us DT's knows what it is, only Carly has the answer. So why not pop over and join in the fun.

Here is my little creation, I have made a little gift bag for my mum for doing my washing for me when my bloomin washer broke down. I am gonna fill it with some yummy Maltesers (her fave choc).

The image is a gorgeous Miss Anya from the Greeting Farm, the cardstock is My Minds Eye, the flower is a mixture of Poppicrafts & Prima with a Papermania pearl brad, scalloped edging done with MSDP & Dovecraft Ribbon.

Double Challenge Card

It was Abbies first day at nursery today and I was really dreading it, although she has been there a few time with me going to parent & toddler this was the first time she would be left on her own. I had nothing to worry about however as she was fine, she was constantly on all morning asking when it was time to go and was so excited. When we got there she went straight in, said hello to the class rabbit & went and popped an apron on and started painting. I said i'm going now and she just turned round and said bye!!! and carried on. Hubby and I popped into town and it was great shopping without having to have eyes in your backside. When we went to pick her up she didnt want to come home and was very dissapointed, just hope thats how its going to be all the time.

Anyway I have made a card tonight which hopefully covers 2 challenges, the first is Cute Card Thursday which is floral fantasy & the second is One Stop challenge which is decorative cuts - such as die cuts etc.

The image is Picking Apples from Sugar Nellie cut out using Nesties label 2, paper is Basic Grey porcelain, corners cut with a Sizzix die, flowers are a 2" Dovecraft punch, Prima & paper roses from the Range. The ribbon is from stash, which IRL is the same green as the cardstock & Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.

Papermakeup

This card is for a challenge blog I found through Dawns blog. Theyare called Papermakeupstamps and have a new challenge every Monday and this monday it is a fabby sketch. I used the sketch to make my sisters birthday card off Oli & Abbie. I am not sure if you have to use only their stamps on this challenge as I couldnt see it anywhere on the blog, so I have linked it anyway.

The gorgeously cute image is one of the very talented Sally Ann designs, the papers are the new Kate Knight collection from trimcraft, Prima flowers & Papermania flower gems.

Cards for Nan.

We have had some very sad news in the family this week, my sisters MIL sadly passed away so quickly from cancer. She has only been diganosed the week before and it was a complete shock. The children have asked me if I could make them cards, so that they can write their nan a message to send with her. These are the cards I came up with I have followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for the one and have decided to put them in the CCT challenge which is Family Affair. The reason that only 2 cards have nan on them is that only 2 of the children are my sisters partners, but my niece also wanted to send her a little card as well.

Papertake Weekly for Abbie and some good news!!

There is a fab sketch over on Papertake Weekly this week done by the lovely Dawny P, I took the opportunity to use it to make Abbie's birthday card off Oli. I can't believe that this time next week my little princess will be 3, it still seems like yesterday that she was in BCH having her op with her life hanging in the balance. I cannot believe how far we have come since those terrible days. Anyway I have used some fabby new papers from the DCWV spring glitter stack which are DB sided and are just delish, a really cute Hanglar image which I think looks just like her, and finished off with 3 little primas and some gem stones.

Well we were at the hospital yesterday for our bi monthly check up for Abbie, and it was good news again. The anitbiotics that she has been on for the last couple of weeks seem to have done the job and her chest was clear yay!!!. Their is slight concern over her weight & height as she hasnt really put much on or grown much since the last time, but not so much that we really need to be concerned over. We have to try to get her to eat a bit more, and also try and cram as much high cal stuff into her as poss. (If you dont know people with CF cannot digest & break down their food and so they have to have these granuals to help them and they also have to eat very high fat & high cal food as even with these granuals (creon) they still dont take enough cals in. They basically have to have double the amount a normal person would just to try and keep their weight stable). They also told us about some new developments on her physio, they are now trying out a new and very fun way of doing it. We are going to be given one of those huge exercise balls and Abbie will have to have her physio on that, as well as doing other exercises with it to help get her lungs working hard. Well they had one in the hospital and she loved it, her physio had her on the ball showing us all the different things and she just had a great time. They also took piccys of her on the ball which are going to be used on a poster and newsletter to promote it all, and she really gave them some fab poses she just loves having her piccy taken.

Flowers for you

Well hasn't the weather been gorgeous today, I promised Oli that I would take him over the park on the BMX track after school today. Should have kept my mouth shut, been as Rich was at home he suggested I take my bike (rearly used) and have a ride with him, whilst he pushed Abbie on her trike. Lets just say my legs now feel like jelly and I need a padded cushion to sit on lol!!!!!
Anyway this is the card I have made for my little brother to give his mum (my stepmum). I followed the sketch over on the Penny Black challenge blog and used this fabby stamp called Guess What!

The image is Penny Black, papers are Basic Grey porcelain, Prima flowers, Papermania pearl brads and circle cut out with a Sizzix die on my Big Shot and then I used my Cropodile to punch the holes all the way round.

In the peach

I have had a lovely day of shopping today, not!!!! . Whilst my mum looked after Abbie we went birthday shopping for her, armed with a list made up from Abbie from Argos & the ELC catalogues. She has gone made for a pink DS and one of those my little sister Rosie dolls. Well do you think they had her anywhere no!, we checked out all the Argos's and any other toy shops we could think of but they were all out of stock. Luckily my mum called and told me that Abbie had been showing her the dolls in the Argos book and she now wanted the Roxy doll and not the Rosie, a quick check at Argos showed they had one in stock so off we dashed. Managed to get most of other stuff she wanted quite easily so it turned out ok in the end. We then decided to go to a pub for lunch before we picked her up which was nice.
Anyway onto my card, there is yet another fab sketch over on Sketch Saturday this week. I decided to use one of my fave Sugar Nellie stamps and make her peachy.

The image is Sweet & Sassy, papers are Basic Grey porcelain, fancy edge was done with a Fiskars lace border punch, prima hydrangers & paper roses from the range.

For my Grandma

I am finally back in the land of crafting, my mojo has returned an I have had a fab evening of crafting. Tonight is the first time I had done any crafting since last thursday, my poor little lamb is poorly again. She has a nasty cough and cold and is back on the anitbiotics, she has been very clingy hence the reason for my lack of crafting. It is such a shame for her, her chest is really rattling this time and I am really hopeing the meds work else it will be a hospital jobby. She is safe and sound and tucked up in bed over nanny & grandads tonight as both me and Rich are at work tomorrow. So I have had a lovely time crafting and I have made this card following the sketch over at Friday Sketchers, I have had an order for 6 mothers day cards today so have been getting stuck into them and this is one of them.

Dont you just love my gorgeous Tilda image, I received 2 fabby Tilda stamps from a friend the other week and this is the first time I have had chance to ink them up. The papers are Picnic Patch from the D&D collection from Docrafts, the flowers are Prima the sentiments are from Craftwork Cards and the little gems are Papermania.

Truely Scrumptious meets Sherbet

There is a fabby sketch to follow over on a new challenge blog Truely Scrumptious. I decided to use one of my new Sherbet's from polycraft, and went with a nice bright colour combo. I have to say I loved working with this sketch, and really like how the card has turned out. I have done the inside as well but didnt bother to put a piccy up as I do them all mostly the same.

I coloured sherbet in using Whispers pens, the papers are Basic Grey Cupcake, flower is a mixture of Poppicraft, Prima and a Dovecraft flower brad, Dovecraft ribbon and Papermania sticker sentiment and small pearl gems.

Fancy a Cupcake

I did this card last week for the Charizma challenge and have only just realised that I havent posted it. The challenge over at the Charizma blog is Cupcakes. I have used on of the new Smirk decoupage range and some cute cupcake papers from the same range.

I have added extra glitz to the decoupage by colouring the hair and heart in with Sakura gelly rolls pens. Added a bit of faux stitching round the edges and a couple of Prima flowers with Papermania gem brads.

Sitting pretty

Friday Sketchers have a great sketch to follow this week. Very clean and simple with plenty of room for adding those little extras.

I received this gorgeous little Tilda image from a blogging buddy and you know for the life of me I couldnt work out whether she was standing or sitting. (have been having a blonde day). In the end I decided she was sitting so cut round her hands, dress and feet and threaded a strip of paper through.

Papers are Basic Grey Ambrosia, Papermania pearl brads, Prima flowers & Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.

Sketch Saturday 30

Firstly before I show you my cards I have some fab news. I cant believe it but I actually won Dawny P's most fabulous blog candy. I had had a horrible day at work (was really quiet today think everyone had buggered off into town) and then developed a splitting headache about 3pm which I could not shift. Had to come home and lie down for an hour. Anyway had to get up as hubby was off to work, so whilst Abbies was watching one of her favorite films (which at the moment is anything to do with Wallice & Gromit) and Oli was otherwise occupied with his PS2 I decided to have a blog hop. Popped over to Dawny's blog and there is was, well I was chuffed I can tell you. I cant wait till after christmas when I receive it cause I am gonna have so much fun playing with all that stuff. Thanks so much Dawny for you generousity.

Anway on to my cards for tonight. I just love it when hubby is on nights, cause I get to play and make as much mess as I like without him moaning at me. So after the kids had been put to bed I decided to have a go at a couple of challenges.

This is my interpritation on the sketch over at Sketch Saturday (thought I would do this one early this week being as I was so late with it last week.

The image is Sweet & Sassy from Sugar Nellie, which was kindly sent to me by Lesley. The papers are Basic Grey Off Beat Collection,Prima flowers, Papermania rub-on sentiment and the ribbon & rose centre in the flower were from my shop. I rotated the sketch round as I had coloured this image today at work (yes we were that busy today!!!!) and really wanted to use it, so rotated the sketch to suit. Hope you like.
