Sweet 16

My Niece is 16 on Thursday and I wanted to make her a special card. So I chose to do a criss cross card with pull out tag featuring a gorgeous FF bear. I am entering this into the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday which is BLOOMING GORGEOUS, I think I have enough flowers on the card to enter. I am also entering it into the Forever Friends Challenge which is inside/outside, with my decorated inside being the little pull out tag.

Image - Forever Friends Clear Stamp Set
Papers - Forever Friends Pink Pafait
Gems - Papermania adhesive shimmer Dots
Flowers - Prima & MS Branch Punch
Sentiment - Sizzix Rub On (on the reverse of a craftwork card oval)

Wedding Card

Once again I would like to say a big thank you to all who have left such lovely messages for Abbie. She seems much better again today and is outside playing in the garden with her brother. So finally I have managed to make a card, she went down pretty early last night and I managed to get this card made for a friend of mine. I was really stuggling at first as I didnt have any suitable stamps, but then I remembered the cute FF decoupage that I have have left from when I did the demo for the shop. This is what I came up with, it is a trifold card.

The papers are from the Paperpermania Signautre range and are called Regency Hill, FF decoupage all matted and layered using Nesties, Poppicraft flowers, Anitas gem stones and a couple of Doodlebug sugar coated brads, the sentiments are computer generated and the ribbon from stash.

All you need is LOVE!!!!

This is the theme for this weeks challenge over on the Spoon Full of Sugar Blog. They would like to see a card or gift for the one you love. Luckily I had made this little Chocolate Bar wrapper and gift tag as a sample for my Demo, which will then proably be eaten by Rich on Sat night. I orginally made the wrapper to just slide around the chocolate, then knowing what me and Rich are like I decided to seal the ends or else it proably wouldnt have made it till Sat lol!!!!.

The papers and image are all from one of the Forever Friends decoupage packs, ribbon from shop. I cant believe how simple this was to make and it looks so much nicer than just giving the chocolate.

3 Sneeky peeps & 2 Challenges

Hi there I'm back and as promised have got a sneeky peep at the Forever Friends demo cards for you. The kit I was given to work with was the With Love kit so have based my cards on Valentines. The layouts of the cards are quite simple as it was more the different style of cards I wanted to show off. I have done a springy, gatefold & trifold. As these cards use Forever Friends and love images I have also decided to sneek them into the Forever Friends Challenge which is Ribbons & the Charizma Card Challenge which is LOVE !!.

Springy card, made very simply using a square card blank & the papers and decoupage from the Forever Friends Kit. Ribbon bow and sentiment added at bottom

Gatefold card, again using the Forever Friends Decoupage kit and an A5 card Blank with a little ribbon bow on corner of image.

Inside of Gatefold card.

Trifold card front view, I have tried to make the card up as a story. On this first page the bear is being given a box from her sweetheart .

On this second page the bear is seen opeing the box and hearts are flying out.

On the last page the bear is seen holding one of the hearts.

As I made the layouts quite simple I added extra interest on this card by, pricking holes all around each page with a pokey tool and adding faux stitching with a gel pen.

Hope you liked seeing these next lot of samples.

SMIRK !!!!!!!!!

OK this is gonna be a long one with lots of piccy's. As you know I am doing my first ever demo on 31st Jan at the shop where I work. I have been a busy little bee over the last few days making some samples up and I thought I would give you a little sneeky peep. We have decided to focus on 3 new product ranges that have recently come into the shop. Forever Friends decoupage, the new Laura Ashley range and the brand new range from Trimcraft called SMIRK!!.

Here are some pics of some of the creations I have made using the new Smirk range. I think this is gonna be a range that you either love or hate with avengance. I personally love it, it is so fun and funky and perfect for young teenage girls.

These are the 4 card samples I have made using the die cut decoupage packs, paper packs glitter tags & funky brads.

I love this gorgeous little notebook and pencil set made with the papers, stamps & funky brads.

This little bookmark was made using up bits of scrap, ribbon and a brad.

This stationary set was so easy to make from and A5 card blank, papers, stamps & brads.
The Front

The inside
Close up of LH inside with papers
Close up of RH inside with envelopes
A6 sized paper, stamped images in rh bottom corner & dottied a border round all 4 edges.
Hope you like my creations, I have tried to do something other than just cards just to give people a bit more scope on what can be done with the stuff. I still have a few more ideas to try out, but if you have any ideas of something a bit different to try please let me know and I will give it a go.

2 Challenges 1 card

This week I have decided that I am going to complete all the challenges that I have listed on my blog. So far I have never managed to do this, so I have set myself this little challenge. I am also going to try and get my sample cards done for the demo, whilst encorporating these challenges. This first card covers Forever Friends Challenge blog which is your favorite colour & the new challenge blog Charisma Cards which is Pink. So as you have guessed my favorite colour is pink, however I have added in cream as the colour combo makes me think of my favorite chocolate from Thorntons which is a white one in their lovely little pink boxes.

I have sliced the front off the card on the digagonal for added interest and over layed the image. Then have decorated the inside which is where I have put the sentiment.
The image is a FF Decoupage, the papers are my new ones from Papermania Scrumptious collection, paper roses from the Range and ribbon box from the shop. I have also inked all the edges with Papaya Cream Colour box Q ink pad for definition.

The Inside

Again have used Scrumptious papers and a little notelet for the centre.

Forever Friends Open Challenge

We have had the new Forever Friends decoupage in at the shop and I have been busy making some samples. So I thought I might as well put some on and enter into the FF Challenge blog, which is an open theme this week.

The image is obviously a FF decoupage, the dotty paper came in the pack with the decoupage and the stripy paper was from my stash. The ribbon is also new from Papermania and the black cardstock I think is Swiss Dots from Bazzill.

Teachers Xmas cards

3 extremely quick cards, as Oli decided tonight he really wanted to send a handmade card to his teachers. I decided to do them the same just in case they opened them together and didnt want one of them thinking that one was better than the other( I know I probably worry too much but anyway).

Papers are from Craft House - Plum Pudding range, Forever Friends Stickers, Dovecraft ribbon & HOTP brads. Sentiments are computer generated. The white cardstock that the stickers have been put on has been chalked in yellow to take the brightness away and match in with the papers better.

2 More Christmas Cards.

These are the other two cards I made last night. They dont fit into any of the challenges so Have just put them on to show you. The first is one I made for my Dad, Stepmom & Brother and the second is for one of my hubby's sisters and her family. We have all agreed this year to just send 1 card to each family as it was getting a bit too much and sometimes there could be 8 cards going into 1 house so we have cut it down this year.

Papers are HOTP, the image is House Mouse I chose this image to depict the 3 of them sentiment is computer generated, christmas flowers is from Hobbycraft and ribbon is Dovecraft.
papers are again HOTP, image is Forever Friends,Dovecraft ribbon & computer generated sentiment.

To my dad

These two cards have been made for my hubby from the kids. I had completely forgot about these and it wasnt until I gave him the card from me and he said have I got any off the kids that I realised. So while he has been watching the match tonight I made these with instructional help from Oli who told me what he wanted on the card and where.

The papers for this card came free with a craft magazine, I used one as the backing paper and for printing the sentiment on. The paper with the snowman on was mounted onto card, then I decuopaged the hat, scarf and gloves and applied glitter glue to the trims. Ribbon and snowflake brad are Dovecraft.

Papers are DCWV Christmas Wishes, Forever Friends sticker placed onto card, cut out and mounted with foam pads, Dovecraft ribbon & brads and computer generated sentiment.

Sketch Saturday

I didn't get reound to doing many blog challenges last week as I had to work 4 days (know I know most people work full time anyway, but when you only normally do 2 days a week + have 2 little ones to look after one of which takes a lot of time and attention its a lot to cope with) Housework went out of the window and so did most of my crafting time. Anyway hopefully this week I can get back on track, I do so love doing these challenges they do wonders for the inspiration. I still have all my special christmas cards to do so I am hopefully gonna be combining the challenges with these. So far I have managed 2, here are the results.

This card takes the sketch from Sketch Saturday and I have used it to make my lovely son's christmas card. Now he is & and not really into cute images but I had to work with what I had and I dont think its that bad .The only thing was once I had stuck the image on I realised it was a bit too low and looked at bit bottom heavy, so I put another piece of paper going across the top to try and balance it out.

Papers are Papermania A wonderful christmas time, Forever Friends sticker & Sizzix cardstock. Greeting is computer generated.

Forever Friends wk 3

The challenge over at the Forever Friends challenge blog this week is `Round the Bend'. you have to include circles on your card. I ended up making 2 as again I wasnt happy with the first one, but I do like enough not to put it in the B file.

This one was made following a Sketch Saturday sketch no 23 from a few weeks ago by Coco. Papers are Papermania A wonderful christmas time, Forever Friends sticker, Sizzix cardstcock, Papermania embellishment and the greeting is my own computer generated.

This card was again made with Papermania A wonderful christmas time papers, Forever Friends sticker and Sizzix cardstock. The Sentiment, Holly and Present are Rub Ons I found in my stash.

Forever Friends wk 2

The challenge over at Forever Friends this week was papermania. You had to use at least 3 papers on your card. Not a problem I love mixing papers on my cards. Anyway I also decided to stay within the theme and actually use papers from Papermania.

The image is Forever Friends (obviously) Bear with present stamp coloured in with whispers, papers are Sweet Nothings from Papermania, Prima flowers & Dovecraft brads. Charm from a kids bracelet set from Asda for £1.50.

Secret Crafter Challenge No 5

Over on the Secret Crafter Challenge Blog they have a great sketch with a twist. The twist is to use only the colours Pink, Brown & White. Immdiately my Papermania Naughty and Nice came into mind and yet again have used another one of my Forever Friends stickers. The sketch is based on a square card but I had run out of those so I just used a normal A6 card, I think it came out ok but I do prefer the square cards, so I think I may have to pop into work and grab me a new pack later. Anyway here is the card.

Papers Papermania Naughty & Nice, Forever Friends sticker ( I feel I am cheating a bit using stickers but I have so many christmas cards to make I need some shortcuts). Dovecraft ribbon & Dovecraft Rose Tinted Christmas Tag.
