Happy Music

Hi all,

I hope you have all had a fantastic christmas and are looking forward to the new year. I am pretty glad to be seeing this year out to be honest and am hoping for a much better one next year. If your off out celebrating tonight hope you have a good one.

We have a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss today and this week our theme is :-

Happy

So we would like to see anything happy on your card, ie happy birthday, happy anniversary or even an image of something that makes you happy.

For my card I have chosen to interpret my theme as something that makes me happy. Now as I am going out tonight to celebrate the seeing the new year out as I always do with my family, Abbie and I will definately be throwing a few moves on the dance floor - which is something we love to do together and makes us feel happy. I have been making some samples up for Trimcraft and thought that this little decoupage image was just perfect.

The image and papers used are from a new range of Fizzy Moon products just being released and this is from the Boys Club decoupage and paper pad.

I hope you like my card and please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations.

Singing sweet christmas greetings to you

Hi all,

This is my last scheduled post and my last of my chirstmas cards phew!!!!!

Todays card is one I made for my team mate over at Totally Gorjuss, instead of us all sending loads of cards we were paired up and just sent one to our partner. I have decorated the inside of the card and also put in a little pocket which held a little surprise for my partner.

I have again used a cute LOTV topper, Papermania papers, gorgeous dotty organza ribbon (am so glad I brought the roll of this and not just a metre or so), a fabric flower and a few gems to finish.

Thank you for pooping by my blog today, hope to be back soon with some new makes.

Tatty Christmas

Hi all

Happy Christmas Eve, hope you are all ready for the big day tomorrow and are not too stressed yet.
I have scheduled a few posts over the next few days, just to finish off showing the last of my christmas cards and thought I better schedule them just in case I cant get on or am not allowed on the laptop!!!

I have a few quick and easy cards to show you today that I made using the Tatty Ted ultimate decoupage pack, full of papers, decoupage and toppers. Fantastic for making quick cards, which I much prefer at christmas when I have loads to do (like I said before if you get a stamped and coloured image on your christmas card I really must love you lol!!!)

Christmas Pepper

Hi all,

A few more christmas cards to show you today, these have been made for the grandparents from the kids.

I had used a Helz Cuppleditch decoupage pad from Trimcraft featuring Pepper the dog. There are 4 sheets of decoupage and 8 sheets of paper in the pad for only £3.99 making them fabulous value. A bit of ribbon and fabric snowflakes to finish and the sentiments have been computer generated. Very quick and easy cards.

Olivers Cards

Hi all

Well I have finally finished making all my christmas cards, presents are wrapped, most of the shopping is done just the fresh items to get tomorrow and we are done. Housework is also planned to be blitzed tomorrow too then its party party party!!!!.
Although not sure how much partying Abbie and I are going to be doing, her cough doesnt seem to be getting any better and is now on antibiotics and I still have my horrible cold.

So just a few more christmas cards to show you over the next few days, then hopefully over the christmas holiday I will get a chance to make a start on using all my new lovely LOTV and Gorjuss Girl stamps and pretty papers I got from the NEC in Nov and are shamefully still sitting in the bag on my crafting cabinet.

So todays cards are Olivers, both have been made with LOTV die cuts, Dovecraft papers, a bit of ribbon and some fabby fabric snowflakes I found in my stash.

Snowman frolics

Hi all,

Well the weather here is pretty miserable today, which just about matches how I feel. Had a bit of a rough night with Abbie and her cough and today I have a stinkin cold of my own.

So I managed to make a few more xmas cards yesterday whilst Abbie had a nap so nearly there now!!

Today I have a couple more cards I made using the Craftwork Cards Frosty & Friends collection. The die cut images are great and very easy to colour and all the items just match perfectly which makes for quick and easy cards.

With so many to do - I have stopped doing individual ones and am doing our house to your cards!!

This one was made for my little brother Charlie

Thanks for popping by my blog today, hoping to get caught up with some commenting later as am very behind.

Someone Special

Hi all

I am a day late (yet again!!!) posting my Totally Gorjuss challenge card. Unfortunately Abbie has come down with a nasty cough - just in time for christmas - and she took up most of my day yesterday.

Anyway this weeks theme is

Someone Special

And we would like to see a card/creation made for someone special in your life, and it doesnt have to be a christmas card.

So here is my creation, my best friend always asks me to make a few cards for her close family. So this card is one I made her to give to her FIL. (so my someone special is my BF and I made a card for someone special for her)

The image is a LOTV topper (yet again!!) and I used some old Papermania papers. Everything has been matted onto Kraft and I added a couple of pearl snowflakes to finish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today and please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates creations.

Snow Gifts

Hi all,

Well not long to go now before the festivities begin, I am really looking forward to christmas this year as I actually have all the time off. Having the shop meant we were only closed for christmas day, boxing day & new years day so had to work over christmas, this year obviously will be different and I plan to enjoy every minute and perhaps partake in a glass or two of the good stuff lol!!!

Anyways I was going through my christmas cards last night and realised I am a long way from finished, most cards are done for friends and neighbours, but I still need to some more special ones. Being as I am at the get together on Saturday I thought I better get moving.

This card is from the kids to one of their aunties. I have used a LOTV topper and some Papermania papers from a couple of years back. The flowers are from Hero Arts and a bit of ribbon and pearl snowflakes to finish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Muffin Tin Advent

Hi all,

Well its mid week again and that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop. This week our theme is

Cute & Funky Christmas

We are sponsered by the fabulous

Who are giving the winner 3 images of their choice.

So for my creation this week I have been inspired by a magazine from last year, where the designer had made an advent calendar from a Mini Muffin Tin. I thought the idea was so cool and funky it was perfect for this weeks challenge. Now it didnt come cheap i'll tell you the mini muffin tray was £15, then I spent around £10 on different packs of embellishments, plus £3 for the magnetic tape - thats without the choccys to go in it  and I had to make 2 so the kids had 1 each lol!!!!

Anyway to make it I basically I cut 24 squares from white card (using my nesties so they were all exactlly the same), then die cut 24 smaller squares from co-ordinating papers and added a little embellishment and glittery number onto each square. On the back of the square I have stuck magnetic tape round the edges so that they stick to the tin, but  can also be easily removed to get to the treats. To finish I tied ribbon through the holes at the top and bottom of the tray.

Now I am really sorry about the poor picture quality, I cant seem to get a good shot of it at all - roll on christmas when I can get my new camera!!!. This pic was took on my phone as it came out better than the ones took with my camera - how bad is that lol!!!!!

So I hope you have been inspired by my project, and although time consuming it was very easy to make. Please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates creations.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

I have matted everything with Kraft and used some fabulous spotty organza ribbon. The punched border is MS and they doiley and pearl snowflakes I got from the NEC, the sentiment is from a Dovecraft clear set.

Tatty Sketch

Hi all,

Thought I would show you another set of christmas cards we made in class. This time the girls followed a sketch and we used the Tatty Ted christmas papers and wooden stamps. Again the cards are simply embellished, but with plenty of scope for their own interpetation.

Bright and Funky Christmas

Hi all,

Thought I would pop on today and show you a collection of cards I have made using the Papermania NOEL Collection. The card is one that I taught in class and is called a buckle card. All the images and papers are from the same collection so match perfectly, as I teach 4 classes a week & including my sample I make 5 of the same card. So I try to use different papers and different images each time - its also been a great help in getting my christmas cards made too. The cards are quite simply embellished as I try to keep my class cards quite easy to make.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please pop pack tomorrow to see my creation for Totally Gorjuss.

Christmas Flower

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop and this week the theme is

Tradtional Christmas

We would like to see tradtional type images, colours etc on your creations

We are sponsered this week by

And they are offering the winner $15 to spend in store.

So for my creation this week I chose to do something a bit different. I have been wanting to have a go at a candle for ages and have been put off cause I thought it would be tricky. Well I think I was worried for nothing and after some very careful colouring on tissue paper - managed to transfer my image to the candle with no problems at all. I then made a base using a Marianne Die to create my flowers and attached them to a Die cut ring which I then slid over the top of the candle. I made a matching card and as the image was very tradtional and not at all cute, thought it would be a perfect set to give to my MIL for xmas (who is 83 - so not into cute!!!).

The image is a Penny Black stamp called Christmas Colour and the papers are from Papermania called - at Christmas Time.

Well I hope you like my little creation, please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabulous cards this week.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Wrapped up warm

Hi all,

So sorry for not being around this week, firstly my kids broke my dongle and I have had no internet all week. New one finally came in post today and so am back online at last whoop whoop!!!!.  Also I have been having a few health issues and not feeling 100% and so my mojo has been right out of kilt and I haven't made any cards to show anyway really.

Now I know its late as the challenge started on Wednesday, but todays card is for the new challenge over on My Mums Craft Shop. This week the challenge is

Keeping Warm

And so we want to see some nice cosy images on your creations, or maybe you could even make something to keep us warm and cosy!!!

For my card I have used a very sweet LOTV printed topper and made a very girly and sparkley card. (this one could possibly be Abbie's card this year). I kept the layout simple and added a heart doiley, some very glittery snowflakes and some gorgeous ribbon I found in my box. A few pearl added just to finish.

The card was a bit hard to photo, due to the pastel colours so sorry for the pants piccy. It looks much better and a bit more colourful IRL!!

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabby creations.

Back tomorrow with my card for Totally Gorjuss.

Winter Fairy

Hi all,

The weekend is here and the kids are driving me crazy to put the Christmas Decs up as our neighbour has been putting hers up this week. I am trying to fob them off till next week but not sure how long I will hold off for especially as hubby wants them up too lol!!!

Anyway today we see a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week the theme is

Sparkle

We are very lucky this week to be sponsered by Sylvia Zet at

Sylvia was also very generous and gave the DT a choice of image to work with. I chose the gorgeous Winter Fairy which you can find HERE, isn't she just so sweet.

So this week instead of a card I decided to make a little tea light holder which I found a fab tutorial for HERE. I then realised that I wouldn't be able to put a proper tea light in obviously cause its made of card!!, so a trip to my local Hobbycraft and I found some fabby little LED candle shaped tea lights perfect!!

Basically the box itself is 10cm square with 1.5cm tabs on and 2 x 10cm pieces of card for the base - 1 on the inside and 1 on the outside. I die cut an aperture out of each side and placed some acetate embossed with a swirly embossing folder in it. The flowers were made with my new Marrianne poinsetta die and I edged them with Stickles to make them sparkle. Then added a couple of Sizzix Swirls behind them.  The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I have added Stickles to her wings and white Flowersoft to the trim on her coat and boots to give them a bit of texture. I have been wanting to do a WOW (white on white) creation for ages now so took the opportunity with this and have to say am very pleased with how it came out and it looks much better and sparkly IRL.

Promakers used

Hair/Robin - Henna, Cinnamon, Tan
Face - Tan, Dusky Pink, Satin
Coat/Boots - China Blue, Denim Blue, Pastel Blue - Rose Pink, Blossom
Holly - Berry Red, Cardinal - Olive Green, Pear Green

And a piccy of it in the dark with the candle lit (turned on lol!!!!)

Please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates gorgeous creations.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges.

My Sheri Crafts - Xmas Decoration

One Stop Craft - Christmas Fairies

Cardmad Fairy's Digi Days - Winter Wonderland (must use digi)

Fairy Tale - Christmas

Present Stack

Hi all,

Just a quick post from me today as I am still feeling a bit quesy after having a very nasty tummy bug yesterday. Apparently is going through the kids school like wildfire and after Abbie having it over the weekend yesterday me, Hubby and Oli had it in some form or other.

So just wanted to show you a quick christmas card I made using a faby LOTV topper and some free papers I got from Cardmaking & Papercraft Mag.

Very plain and simple layout with a bit of ribbon and a couple of snowflakes to finish.

Please pop back tomorrow to see my creation for the new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss.

Ladybug Friend

Hi all,

Well the middle of the week is here again, so that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop and this week the theme is :-

Winged Things

We want to see things with wings on your creations - so anything from Fairies, Butterflies, Birds etc

We are sponsered this week by

The DT  were very kindly given some fabulous digi images to work with and I chose to use the sweet Ally & Beeble image which you can find HERE.

With christmas coming up and thinking about teachers gifts I decided to make some little wall hanging calendars. Abbie has 1 male and 2 female teaching assistants in her class and Oli has 1 male and 1 female teaching assistant in his. So I have decided for christmas to only buy the teachers a gift and give these calendars to the female teaching assistants, otherwise it would cost me a fortune. I am only showing you the one today, the others I will save for later in the week.

I wanted quite a bright look and feel to this one, so I chose some papers from the Echo Park -  AWalk in the Park pad and coloured my image with Promarkers to match. The sky was done with a cloud template and chalk. I used my fave NS punch (again!!!) for the flowers, MS butterfly punch and added a few gems to finish. The base of the calendar is a 6x6 scalloped square chipboard shape from Papermania.

I hope you like my creation, please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabby creations.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, your comments are always appreciated.

Christmas

Hi all,

As promised I have a couple of cards to show you today that I made for Trimcraft using one of their decoupage pads from Helz Cuppleditch.  All the images and most of the papers are glittered and they all co-ordinate perfectly. Making cards very quick & easy to put together, just what you need when you are making a few.

I kept the layouts simple and didnt use too many embellies. I used a MS snowflake and Border punch, the charm was from a bundle I purchased off Ebay and the ribbon and pearl snowflakes were from Hobbycraft.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Hello

Hi all,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I had fabulous Friday night - first we went out for a meal with my cousin for her birthday and had some delishious food, then I dropped the kids off round my friends and while her hubby babysat we went to see the new Twilight film at the cinema. OMG it was fantastic and well worth the wait loved it so much - Team Edward!!!!! so lush!!.

Sat I then had a rather productive day in the house - did all the washing and ironing and cleaned from top to bottom, thinking that I could then have a full day of crafting on Sun. Unfortunately this was not too be poor Abbie had me up most of the night with sickness, it was that bad I have had to throw away my quilt and pillows and get new ones on Sunday. In the end we had gone through all my spare sheets, the quilt and pillows were soaked through and we were sleeping on a bare mattress with Transfomer & Hello Kitty fleeces over us. Then yesterday still not feeling well she was very clingy so sat mostly on the sofa with her on my lap, we are keeping her off school today just to be on the safe side, luckily Rich is off work for the next couple of days and so her can look after her today while I teach class.

Anyway a while ago we were given some free images from Heather Ellis for a challenge over at MMCS, when I was originally making my card I coloured up 2 images as I couldn't decide which one to use. So todays card uses the image I coloured and didn't use. I have teamed her with some fabby MME papers and kept the design quite simple with just a bit of ribbon and a couple of punched flowers to finish. The tag sentiment is from Little Claire which I got from the NEC, they are so cute.

I cant seem to get a decent pic at the moment, and I have noticed that my pictures seem to have a yellow tinge at the bottom. Think my camera is on the way out but its a fair few years old so cant complain, hubby has offered to get me a new one for xmas so have been looking at a few online yesterday. I think I have finally made my mind up which one I want after looking at all the features - but guess what was the most important feature ----------------------- yes I want a pink one lol!!! Rich was just rolling his eyes at me everytime he saw a good one and I was like yeah!! but its not pink.

Have you noticed I also got a bit technical over the weekend and created me a pretty new watermark in Paint.Net. Couldn't believe how easy it was really and don't know why I haven't done it before lol!!

Anyway after I have bored you silly thanks for popping by my blog today, will be back tomorrow with a couple of christmas cards I have made as samples for Trimcraft.

Swirly Whirly

Hi all,

**For some reason Mr Blogger is being very naughty with me, all the posts that I schedule suddenly change to draft after I have scheduled them and don't post, This post should have come up yesterday **

So today we have a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week the theme is

Swirly Whirly

We would like to see lots of swirls, whirls, flourishes and pretty things etc on your creations

We are sponsered by the fabulous

So for my card I decided to go all out girly, and what better image to choose than a gorgeous Magnolia image. I went for a lemon & blue colour combo and took inspiration from the likes of Tab & Kim who always make the most fabulous Magnolia creations.  I made a sweet little step card  as I thought it would be perfect to add lots of embellies and in the end had to tell myself to step away from the flowers lol!!!

The image has been coloured with my Poly's for a softer look and all the flowers are from WOC. The swirls are Marianne dies, MS butterfly punches and a Tim Holtz ticket sentiment.

I hope you like my card, please pop on over to the challenge blog to see my team mates fabulous creations.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.
