Sweet 16

My Niece is 16 on Thursday and I wanted to make her a special card. So I chose to do a criss cross card with pull out tag featuring a gorgeous FF bear. I am entering this into the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday which is BLOOMING GORGEOUS, I think I have enough flowers on the card to enter. I am also entering it into the Forever Friends Challenge which is inside/outside, with my decorated inside being the little pull out tag.

Nap Time

Hi all,

Finally back with a challenge card. I treated myself the other day to a couple of new stamps & papers from Trimcraft. The stamps were from the Pepper & Friends range and I got the Funky Vintage Papers. I have also had my eye on some Polychromos for ages and finally took the plunge and got me some off ebay (very good price too!!). So today I have had a little play with my new stuff, I stamped up my image and knew that I wanted to to cut it out in a circle. So when I came across the Papertake weekly challenge sketch it was perfect.

The image is called Nap Time, Papers are Funky Vintage both from the new trimcraft ranges. Flowers are Petaloo with Papermania Gem Brads, MS Branch Punch, Craftwork Cards Sentiment, Tiny gems are Papermania ,Burgandy Tulle & pearl pin from my shop.

Friday Sketchers

Made this card following the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. Didnt really turn out how I hoped so am not 100% happy with this. Think its the colour scheme really looks a bit washed out now, added some distressing to the edges of the papers and again hasnt turned out right.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

This is the first of a couple of posts on here tonight, kids were at nan & grandads last night, hubby wasnt in till late so I had a couple of hours to myself. I managed to get a few cards for some challenges done but have popped them on separate post to make them easier to find.

This card is following the fab sketch over on the Sugar Bowl, with the added extra of ribbon & bows. I used this gorgeous little stamp, after having a look through my stamp box I realised I had only used her once before and she was feeling a little neglected lol!!!!.

The papers are My Minds Eye and they are just delish with all glitter on them, Craftwork Cards oval sentiment, Papermania shimmer dots & ribbon from stash.

A few cards

Finally I have a few cards to show you. I have managed to find a couple of hours to myself amongst all the chaos and came up with these. They are not for any challenges I just made them cause I wanted to & needed to, was getting major withdrawal symptoms.

Whilst sorting of my stuff, I came across this fab paper and embellishment pack which came free with a mag. So I decided to put it to good use at long last.
The images are Greetings Farm, Sugar Nellie & Messy Rabbit, flowers are Floral Doodles by petaloo and Papermania adhesive gems.

Finally here is a piccy of my little angel with her Nebuliser, she is such a star!!!!!.

As you can tell by her face, she is looking a little unwell at the moment, its so sad to see her so different from her normal self.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

There is a fabulous sketch over at the Sugar Bowl this week with an amazing prize of the new collection of 8 Diane Dudda stamps soon to be released. You also have to include Blue & Green on your card to be in with a chance of winning, well I had these papers left out from the last card I had made and they were prefect for the challenge. I also coloured the image in with my PM's following the tutorial over on Joey's blog and I have to say am very pleased with the results, I seem to be getting a lot better with my shading.

The papers are DCWV Nannas Kitchen, Gorjuss Girl image from Sugar Nellie, Petaloo flowers, Dovecraft ribbon, Papermania adhesive shimmer dots and the sentiment is my own computer generated design.

The Circus!!!!! and a challenge card.

Well I had the most fabulous night last night, went to see the gorgeous Take That at the Ricoh in Coventry. It was the most spectacular show I have ever seen it wasnt a concert it was a show!!!. Everything about it was amazing, we were stood about 10 foot away from the centre stage so had a great view when they came out the middle which they did repeatedly throughout the show. Gary looked gorgeous as always and the rain held off until the end. The best part had to be the elephant emerging out of the centre stage and carrying them off over to the top stage, that elephant was just something else. But guess which numpty forgot to take her camera!!!!!!!. It was a night I will never forget and would go to see it again without a second thought.

Anyway better show you my card. It is made following the sketch over on Sketch and Stash and my new item is the Tilda image and the gorgeous DCWV papers.

Image is from the Magnolia chasing butterflies collection, papers are DCWV Nanas Kitchen, Prima & Poppicraft flowers with Papermania gem brads. Craftwork Cards oval sentiment & Papermania adhesive shimmer dots, ribbon from the Range.

How to catch a butterfly

Second post from me today, although I didnt get as much crafting in as I thought. A friend came round for a cuppa and a chat while her daughter (who is in Oli's class) played outside with the kids. This is quite a simple card as I was following the fabby sketch over on Papertake Weekly by the lovely Dawny P. Great simple sketch with plenty of room for added embellies although I did keep it quite simple.

The image is a gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp, papers are Basic Grey Wisteria (just got them today and they are totally gorge) Poppicraft flowers, Anitas spotty ribbon & Papermania pearl brads & sticker sentiment.
