My Favorite Image

Hi all,

Sob, sob, tears down face!!!!!! - It's a very sad day over at Ladybug Crafts Ink - Head ladybug Kerry has decided to close Ladybug Crafts Ink after 5 fabulous years. This is our last challenge and will end 30th September.

We have invited retired Ladybugs and GD's to join in with our Grand Finale choosing their favourite LCI image whether it's a cling stamp or digi.

Now with every closing down comes a SALE and boy have we got a sale for you!

ALL cling stamps will be on sale from today for 1 pound and all ribbon, felt, buttons and nailheads are 30% off. The Swarovski crystals will NOT be in the sale.

We hope you'll join us in our final challenge which will be CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE IMAGE. We would love it if it was an LCI image but it doesn't have to be.

There will be 2 prizes....One for the challenge and one for the challenge using an LCI image.

Anyway here is my card using one of my favorite images - Handbag Nikki

The Nikki collection was the first range of stamps from LCI that caught my eye and fell in love with. In fact the Nikki range was one of the first ranges of stamps I stocked in my old shop. So its fitting that I use a Nikki to say goodbye with.

I coloured Nikki up with my SN's and teamed her with some fabby papers from Echo Park - We are family. I kept the layout quite simple and finished off with a few flowers and gems.

Please do pop on over to the LCI Blog and check out the fabulous creations.

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Happy birthday to Ewe!!

Hi all,

I have a little card to show you today that I am very proud to say appears in the latest Issue (Issue 51) of Complete Cardmaking

Not only did I make the front cover with a card I made for another DT (see post here), you can also see this card in the top LH corner too lol. When I was making the cards for the magazine I didn't realise they were for the same one, so it was a nice surprise when I saw it.

Anyway this card is using a fabulous image from Ladybug Crafts Ink and is part of the latest release called Eunice & Ramsey - which as you can guess is a gorgeous collection of the most adorable sheep couple. There are a selection of images free with this issue of the magazine, or if you want the full range you can get them HERE.

The image was coloured in using PM's and I teamed it with some fabby papers from Amercian Crafts (totally love this pad). All the little embellishments were from the £1 range at My Mums Craft Shop and the sentiment was printed from the computer (I just had to do it lol).

We still have our challenge running over on the LCI blog, its a CAS challenge and would love you to join in. You could win yourself 2 stamps of your choice or 4 stamps if you use a LCI image (if you get the mag you have plenty to choose from lol). The challenge runs until 2nd Sept as our head ladybug has gone home on her holibobs for a while. When she comes back we have some very big news so keep your eyes peeled.

Our new release is called Bloomin' Fabulous  and there are 12 images in the collection on sale now at £1.75 each. Now as always with a new release we have a few prizes to give away!!!

There is one prize of the WHOLE collection and 5 prizes of 2 images of your choice. All you have to do is leave a comment over on the challenge post as to what your favourite flower is.

Of course we also have our usual challenge running too and our theme this fortnight is

Anything Goes

So nice and easy for you, there are also the usual prizes of overall challenge,  using an LCI image prize as well as Top 3.

Anyway for my card I used the very fabulous and contempary image - Bamboozled Blooms

I kept the design of the card very simple so that the image would stand out and used a leafy pattern paper from LOTV which I think goes really well with the image. I stamped my sentiment on velum again - soooo loving this look at the moment, and added just a couple of fishtail banners at the top to finish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the LCI Blog and check out the other new releases and fabulous samples from my team mates.

If the shoe fits!

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink, and this fortnight the lovely Chris has chosen our theme which is :-

Monochrome

The bugs have decided to showcase an old favorite with this theme - Killer Heels

For my card I have used the fabulous image - Strappy -and you know what I have a very similar pair of these shoes that my BFF brought me for xmas - wanna see?

Now to be honest me and this challenge just did NOT!!! get on at all. I must have a least half a dozen images half coloured and thrown into the big B file, I could not for the life of me colour in my bloomin shoes at all. In the end I decided to cheat! - I popped the image into paint and coloured it in there, I then opened it up in word added a fabby sentiment I found and framed it with a border.

I kept the card uber simple and just matted onto a piece of black card, I added a few gems in the top corner just to finish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the challenge blog and join in with our challenge. You could win yourself 2 images of your choice and if you used a Ladybug Crafts Ink image you could win 4 images of your choice!

Happy Birthday to Ewe!

Hi all

Along with our fortnightly challenge, we have a new release over at Ladybug Crafts Ink today that I am sure you are going to love!

Eunice & Ramsay are a collection of 16 fabulous images featuring 2 adorable characters.

The girls are doing an unofficial Blog Hop, but if you do pop on over to each member of the team and leave a comment on their blogs and then comment on the challenge blog with you fave image - you could be in with the chance to win all 16 images. There is also 5 extra prizes of 2 images of choice to be won too.

The challenge for this fortnight is Anything Goes - so couldn't be easier for you to join in!

I had the fabulous Eunice's Prezzies to work with for this release and I have to tell you I love her - how fab is she!!

I wanted to go with a nice bright and funky feel to my card so chose some papers from one of my fave makes at the mo - Echo Park, I love the pink & blue combo. I coloured Eunice in using Spectrum Noirs (love the virbrancy of these) and added a scattering of flowers, gems & a button and finished off with a gorgeous double bow made from pink satin ribbon. The sentiment was computer generated and although very cheesy - just had to be done!

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the challenge to see what my teamies have been up to - although you will only find sneak peeks on the blog, you have to hop to see the full cards - sneaky!!!

A little Stuck

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and this fortnight my lovely teamie Kath has chosen our challenge and she has chosen

Easel Card

The Ladybugs have also decided to showcase Magnum with this challenge.

I have chosen to use the very funny Catflap Magnum - love the look on his face as he realises that he is a little on the large size to get through that flap. Due to the distruntled look on his face I decided to make the card into a get well card rather than a Birthday one lol

I made the card from Kraft card and covered with some old MME papers, I kept the design very simple and a little on the manly side.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the LCI Blog to check out my team mates fabby Easel creations.

Floral Delight

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and its my teamie Susan's turn to choose the challenge this time and she has gone for

WOW (white on white)

And ladybugs are showcasing lots of lovely Floral Delight images this challenge

Eeeek!!! not sure I like doing these, not my best style at all but I have done my best lol !

I used the fabulous image Wheelbarrow Delight for my card and kept the design quite simple using just a piece of embossed card for the background. I added a few white die cut flowers and some polka dot organza ribbon to finish. I did distress all the edges of my layers to give the card a bit more texture and to define the layers a bit more.

Please do pop on over to the Challenge blog and join in with our challenge - you could win 2 digi images of your choice or 4 digi images if you enter using a LCI image.

Cupcake anyone?

Hi all,

We have a new challenge starting over on Ladybug Crafts Ink today and its my turn to choose the challenge.

Nowl we have 3 birthdays in the family this week Abbie's today & mine on Thursday - its also my Dad's on Thursday too, have I ever told you I was his 18th Birthday present lol!! Its also my Sister's, Brother-in -Law's & my Stepdads next week - so busy busy busy here.

So it will come as no surprise that I have chosen the theme Birthday!!

The lovely Ladybugs have all been using the very adorable Cupcake Cuties for our challenge card this fortnight and I have chosen to use the Stack of Cupcakes image.

I made a little double pocket card that's folded from a 25cm dia circle using double sided 12x12 paper. The back pocket holds a tag with message and the front pocket holds the cute little image.

Please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations using these adorable images, why not join in with the challenge while your there. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and this fortnight ladybug Julie has chosen our theme which is

For a special Lady

Now with Mothers day being very close - if you haven't already now's the perfect time to make that card or I'm sure we all have a Nan, Aunt, Daughter etc to make a card for so you have no excuse really.

For my card I have chosen to make my Stepmom's Mothers Day Card, now I don't like putting Stepmom on there so I normal go for a more generic Happy Mothers Day - or like something like the sentiment I have used here.

I have used the very classy and stylish Martini Nikki for my card - doesn't she look just fabulous relaxing on here chais lounge with a glass of something sparkly. (Just what every mom should be doing on Mothers Day lol). Now I have used a Nikki stamp on my card but unfortunately she is no longer available as a clear stamp BUT!!! you can get her in Digi for just £1.75 - making her a fabulous bargin. I teamed Nikki with gorgeous My Minds Eye papers - Now & Then Milo and went for a very fresh & pretty colour combo (I love blue & yellow). The sentiment is also from LCI and I finished off with a bit of lace & a  few flowers and gems to make it look pretty.

Thanks you for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the LCI Challenge Blog - check out my team mates fabulous creations and join in the fun while your there too.

Text Talk

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and this week the lovely Sue has chosen our theme which is

One for the Boys

Blahhhh!!!!!!! - Is all I have to say about this challenge lol. I hate making male cards and am never happy with how they turn out and this one turned out to be no exception.

I used Mobile Phone Josh image for my card and teamed him with some funky papers from Trimcraft, First Edition - Man Made. I tried to sort of make a scene style and in my head he is leaning up against a wall with the city in the background chatting away to his mate lol. I love the cool dude image and its just perfect for that teenagers card (which tbh images are hard to come by), and I love the fab papers - but I don't really like the card that much. I tried adding embellishments but none looked right so in the end I just left it CAS, I'm sure at some point it will come in handy for one of Oli's mates.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop on over to the LCI Blog and check out my team mates fabby creations and join in with our challenge.

Celebrate in style

Hi all

Well we have a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and we also have a new release too
Floral Delight 3 is a collection of 12 floral themed images at just £1.75 each

Now I could tell you that you need to get them cause they are gorgeous, but I can't!!!. Not because they aren't gorgeous they most likely are as always, but boss lady has not let any of the Bugs see any images other than the one we were given to work with. So its a surprise for us too lol.

Anyway our challenge theme this fortnight is Flowers Galore so we would like to see your floral creations please.

For my card I was given the fabby image Martini to use and decided to create a nice bright cheery card.

I teamed my image with some gorgeous papers from MME and added a fabby bow made with lush green stripey ribbon. I kept the card design quite simple as not to take away from the image.

Now on the challenge blog you will only find sneek peaks all of the images. If you would like to get your hands on 4 of the new images of your choice, you just need to pop on over to the bugs blogs, check out their creations and leave a comment on the challenge blog telling us your favourite image.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do come and join in the fun over on the LCI Blog.

Pretty obvious challenge for this month don't ya think - most of us need to make at least one V'day card don't we or maybe even an Anniversary Card!

Anyway for my creation I decided to use the adorable Valentine Billie - available in store - and talking about the store have you seen our new look?. Kerry has given (or is still giving) the store a bit of a makeover, including adding some lovely card samples on there and adding all our current range of images into digi format - yes you read right!! - all our older previously stamp only designs have been/are being converted into digi - instant gratification on your favorite images.

I teamed the image with some gorgeous My Minds Eye - Lucky in Love papers and added just a few Rhinestone Hearts for decoration.

Blue & White Colour Combo

So we would like to see you creations with predominately these colours.

For my card today I have used the fab image Snowman Chorus and have used a piece of embossed card for my background (no patterned papers at all!!!).

Birthday Bubbly

Hi all,

It was my cousin's 21st on Monday and we had a fabulous weekend celebrating with her - 2 meals & a party hasn't done much for my diet though!!!

Anyway thought I'd pop on today and show you the card I made her.

I used a fabulous image from Ladybug Craft Ink - Though the Ages 21- and teamed it with some bright and funky MME papers. I finished off with a few WOC flowers and some lovely lilac satin ribbon.

I wanted to card to have a young and funky feel to it but still be a bit girly & pretty, and am quite pleased with how it turned out in the end.
