Friday Sketchers

Made this card following the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. Didnt really turn out how I hoped so am not 100% happy with this. Think its the colour scheme really looks a bit washed out now, added some distressing to the edges of the papers and again hasnt turned out right.

The Circus!!!!! and a challenge card.

Well I had the most fabulous night last night, went to see the gorgeous Take That at the Ricoh in Coventry. It was the most spectacular show I have ever seen it wasnt a concert it was a show!!!. Everything about it was amazing, we were stood about 10 foot away from the centre stage so had a great view when they came out the middle which they did repeatedly throughout the show. Gary looked gorgeous as always and the rain held off until the end. The best part had to be the elephant emerging out of the centre stage and carrying them off over to the top stage, that elephant was just something else. But guess which numpty forgot to take her camera!!!!!!!. It was a night I will never forget and would go to see it again without a second thought.

Anyway better show you my card. It is made following the sketch over on Sketch and Stash and my new item is the Tilda image and the gorgeous DCWV papers.

Image is from the Magnolia chasing butterflies collection, papers are DCWV Nanas Kitchen, Prima & Poppicraft flowers with Papermania gem brads. Craftwork Cards oval sentiment & Papermania adhesive shimmer dots, ribbon from the Range.

Birthday cards for Niece

I have 2 Niece's who have a birthday next week, so whilst the weather has been soooo pants here today I have made a start on them.

This first one I have made following a fab sketch by Rach over on the Just Magnolia blog, I have spent a lot of time practising with my PM's and I am really pleased with how the colouring on this little cutie turned out.

The image is from the magnolia Butterflies collection, matted and layered using Nesties, papers are DCWV spring stack, Papermania element flowers, Anitas spotty ribbon & craftwork Cards oval sentiment. The butterfly is a plain chipboard shape which I have inked up, added glossy accents onto and then sprinkled a little glamour dust on top.

This second card I have made using the great sketch over on Papertake Weekly.

This card uses a fab image from the Greeting Farm (sent to me by a blogging buddy), papers are DCWV spring stack, Papermania adhesive gem stones and computer generated sentiment.

Cards for Nan.

We have had some very sad news in the family this week, my sisters MIL sadly passed away so quickly from cancer. She has only been diganosed the week before and it was a complete shock. The children have asked me if I could make them cards, so that they can write their nan a message to send with her. These are the cards I came up with I have followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for the one and have decided to put them in the CCT challenge which is Family Affair. The reason that only 2 cards have nan on them is that only 2 of the children are my sisters partners, but my niece also wanted to send her a little card as well.

For my Grandma

I am finally back in the land of crafting, my mojo has returned an I have had a fab evening of crafting. Tonight is the first time I had done any crafting since last thursday, my poor little lamb is poorly again. She has a nasty cough and cold and is back on the anitbiotics, she has been very clingy hence the reason for my lack of crafting. It is such a shame for her, her chest is really rattling this time and I am really hopeing the meds work else it will be a hospital jobby. She is safe and sound and tucked up in bed over nanny & grandads tonight as both me and Rich are at work tomorrow. So I have had a lovely time crafting and I have made this card following the sketch over at Friday Sketchers, I have had an order for 6 mothers day cards today so have been getting stuck into them and this is one of them.

Dont you just love my gorgeous Tilda image, I received 2 fabby Tilda stamps from a friend the other week and this is the first time I have had chance to ink them up. The papers are Picnic Patch from the D&D collection from Docrafts, the flowers are Prima the sentiments are from Craftwork Cards and the little gems are Papermania.

A rose for you

I have been going mad lately colouring loads of images with my Promarkers, I think I am slowly getting better. So I thought its about time I started to use some of them up. This gorgeous Tilda image was given to me in a RAK from a blogging buddy and it is one of my favorites. I also managed to get my hands on the new Dandelion & Daisy paper pack which has got some lovely pastel pattern papers. So I made this card following the fab sketch over on Sketch Saturday.

Image Tilda with rose from Magnolia, papers are Picnic Patch from Docrafts, DCVW cardstock, Craftwork Cards Sentiment, paper roses from the Range and lace from my shop.

Better late than never!!

I originally made this card following the sketch over at Mojo Monday, however I have had a major problem with my internet connection for the last 4 days and have not been able to get online. The sketch has now changed over at Mojo Monday so this card is basically null and void. Been as it took me ages to make, and I wanted to show you this fab Tilda image sent to me by a blogging buddy, which I coloured in first then had a right game trying to match papers up with it, I thought I might as well post it anyway.

Image is Tilda with Sunflower coloured in with PM's, papers are Basic Grey 2 scoops, Papermania pearl gems, computer generated sentiment and ribbon from stash.

I would also like to say that because of my connection problems I am now having to play catch up looking at all your lovely creations over the last couple of days, so if I havent left you any comments its because I havent managed to get round to your blog yet but I am slowly getting there.

A carton of love!

Have a look at this !!!!!.

This fabby box has been designed by the wonderful Katharina, you will find the tutorial here . As you know I have been asked by my boss to demo all our new products once every couple of months. Not content with showing just cards I want to show other things that look fab but are relatively simple to make. So I have been scouring the web for inspiration and little knicknacks, when I came across this on Katharina's blog. It was so simple to make, her tutorial is fab with clear step by step instructions and pics you cant possibly go wrong.
I have used DB sided cardstock from Papermania, Anitas ribbon, Papermania gem stones, paper flowers from the Range and this gorgeous Tilda image. Now the reason for using this particular image is that it reminds me of a girl getting ready for bed with her little teddy. I am using the box to put in a little present for my mom off the kids, and the present is going to be some sachets of Hot Chocolate (Bev if you are reading this they will obviously be the low cal ones you know only 1 ww point per sachet!). So I thought this image would be quite apt.
Hope you like, and if you do feel inspired do check out the tutorial on Kathatrina's blog.
Am off now to have a go at The Paper Beads & Tag Card on the Sugar Sugar Blog.
If you know of anywhere else I can look for a bit of something different do let me know, all suggestions will be gratefully received.

Sitting pretty

Friday Sketchers have a great sketch to follow this week. Very clean and simple with plenty of room for adding those little extras.

I received this gorgeous little Tilda image from a blogging buddy and you know for the life of me I couldnt work out whether she was standing or sitting. (have been having a blonde day). In the end I decided she was sitting so cut round her hands, dress and feet and threaded a strip of paper through.

Papers are Basic Grey Ambrosia, Papermania pearl brads, Prima flowers & Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.

Friday Sketchers

A fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers has given me the inspiration for Martyn's card off the kids. Origanlly this sketch was supposed to be for the engagement card, but I cut the stripey strips too small for the Image. As you can see I have managed to salvage it and used it for an Uncle card.

The image is Edwin from Magnolia, The papers are Basic Grey Granola, Dovecraft brads & eyelets, Papermania sentiment & ribbon from shop.

Exciting news & a challenge

Ok first I will start with my exciting news, well I think I am a little more scared than excited, but I am excited all the same. My boss came over the shop whilst I was there on Wednesday and had a look at my new cards that I had made, as I put them in the shop for inspiration. She couldnt believe that they were so good (her words not mine). She then saw the Forever Friends samples I had made and was really chuffed with them. Now for the exciting part, she has only gone and asked me if I will demo at the shop, and do a different theme every couple of months. Now I love demo days as they are fab, but we always have a professional demonstrator in either from Docrafts or Trimcrafts. So I was highly honoured when she said that my creations were just as good as those that she has seen from these professional demonstrators. She also loved that I had been using bits & bobs from the haberdashery side of the shop on my cards, and how I have been decorating the insides. So i have agreed and do my first one on Sat 31st Jan (she doesnt like to hang on with things my boss), so I am as I said very excited and scared and hope that people will be interested. Now for the Challenge, the Roses on Paper Challenge blog have a colour theme this week which is White, Green & Purple, so after fetching the new Papermania collection papers this week I though I would use those as they fit the bill perfectly. Now I have done a cardnial sin with these,as we wont be getting them in from docrafts till the end of the month, and I so wanted them I went elsewhere naughty I know, but a girls goto have her stuff!!!.

The image is Tilda sent to me by the lovely Heidi, the papers are Papermania spring burst, Sizzix card stock and the fab flowers are from Poppicrafts which I got with the voucher I won from the lovely Dawny P. Ribbon from stash. I have also reused the sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar blog which I really liked, and wanted to make another card using it.

The Inside

I have decorated the inside quite plainly, and the sentiment sq in the middle is actually one the the Notlets again from the Papermania spring burst collection.

ROP Challenge 2

Well what can I say about today, pretty uneventful really no helicopters, or ambulances to keep us amused. But and its a big BUT we have made steady progress with our Jigsaw Puzzles, we have now progressed onto 12 piece Dora ones, no more 6 piece Peppa Pig for us now we are way to advanced lol!!!!!. Abbie has been kept occupied today by these new jigsaw's and is really enjoying them, she seems to be picking them up quite quickly. We got a 20 piece Winnie the Pooh one for tomorrow !!. In bewteen doing jigsaw's I have made 1 card, all bloomin day I have been trying to craft and I end up with just 1 card. But I wouldnt swap my time with her for anything. Oli spent most of the day over his friends across the road and were kept entertained by the Wii, so me and Abbie has some time together again. The card I made is for the new challenge blog Roses on Paper, which had a fabby sketch to follow.

The Tilda image was sent to me by the lovely Lynsey coloured in using Whsiper pens. The papers are Laura Ashley contempary collection, Papermania pearl brads & sticker sentiment. The flowers are from the new Papermania Elements collection and the lace was from my shop.

Papertake Weekly

This card was done following another one of Dawny P's fab sketches over on papertake Weekly. Again it is quite a simple card, just following the images without really adding anything extra to it. As at this point I had Abbie at the table with me Sticking, she has this obsession with stickers and just loves to sit there and stick them onto a piece of white paper. Every time we go out she has to have some new stickers, I had some great bargins from Woolies though and got her about 10 sheets of disney stickers for 5p a sheet so she was very happy with them as she loves Mickey & Minnie. As I said this is again a simple card as I do find it hard to concentrate when every 5 seconds you are having to go ooh lovely, yes Abbie very nice, etc every time she stuck a sticker down. Anyway here is my card.

The Tilda image was given to me by the lovely Amanda, coloured in using Whispers pens, the papers are Basic Grey and are a mixture of Off Beat & Eva. Brown satin ribbon from the shop & computer generated sentiment.

Sketch Saturday

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all. Did any of you go out and have a few drinkies last night. I did and really enjoyed myself, I didnt get drunk as I dont like to be when I have the kids, but I did have enough so as I couldnt drive so stayed at my moms which is about 10 mins from the club we went to. It is a real family night for us on new years eve and there was about 20 of us, we all took some party food and a good night was had by all.

I have not done any crafting over christmas and my have I had withdrawal symptons, but I had promised my hubby I wouldnt so I didnt. However we are in the new year now and there is no stopping me. I didnt have much crafty stuff for xmas as hubby says I spend enough on it during the year so he wouldnt get me anything for xmas. However he did surprise me with a proper crafting lamp with daylight bulb that I had been dropping hints about for ages. Then my MIL got me a little sewing machine as I have been saying I wanted to try sewing on my cards, well so far I have fetched it out the box, looked at it, looked at the intructions and given up. I think I will wait till Oli back at school then have a proper look at it. So tonight I have been beavering away under my new lamp trying to catch up on some challenges. This card is for the Sketch Saturday Open challenge where you choose your favorite sketch. I havent been doing them for that long, only since they got into the twenty somethings, so I had a look through and decided to have a go at number 19.

The Tilda image was kindly sent to me by the lovely Lynsey coloured in using Whispers pens, the papers are Basic Grey Granola, Papermania sentiement and lace from my shop.

Card for a friend

I have made this card for a friend of mine who is going to swap some images with me. She agve me some Penny Black images a while ago as she know I love them, and is doing me some more so I said I would do her some of mine and we could have a little swap. She has not been feeling well lately so I have made her this card to go with the images to cheer her up a bit. Hope you feel better soon Amanda, and this little package is waiting at the shop for you.
