Friday Sketchers

Made this card following the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. Didnt really turn out how I hoped so am not 100% happy with this. Think its the colour scheme really looks a bit washed out now, added some distressing to the edges of the papers and again hasnt turned out right.

Image is Tidla with Tulips from Magnolia, Papermania Blueberry Hill papers, Craftwork Cards sentiment, Poppicraft flowers & Papermania shimmer dots.

With Love for Friday Sketchers

Fabulous sketch over on the Friday Sketchers Challenge blog this week. I have yet again used a new Sherbet (can you tell I love them!!!) and picked some fun and funky papers to add a bit of brightness to this chilly day. I have sliced my card off on the diagonal to fit the sketch and I kinda like how it looks.

My little lovely sherbet has been coloured in using Whispers pens, papers are Papermania Spring Burst, Papermania pearl brads and sentiment sticker. The flower is poppicrafts with a Dovecraft flower brad in the centre and the swirl and corner piece were made using my Big Shot and a Sizzix die.

Truely Scrumptious meets Sherbet

There is a fabby sketch to follow over on a new challenge blog Truely Scrumptious. I decided to use one of my new Sherbet's from polycraft, and went with a nice bright colour combo. I have to say I loved working with this sketch, and really like how the card has turned out. I have done the inside as well but didnt bother to put a piccy up as I do them all mostly the same.

I coloured sherbet in using Whispers pens, the papers are Basic Grey Cupcake, flower is a mixture of Poppicraft, Prima and a Dovecraft flower brad, Dovecraft ribbon and Papermania sticker sentiment and small pearl gems.

Feeling Peachy

Its my niece's birthday next week so have got a couple of cards to make for her. I decided to use the 1,2,3 recipe over on the Secret Crafter blog for this card. The recipe is 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments. I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie (Leanne Ellis) that Heidi Kindly sent to me. I have had it a bit but didnt want to use it as I only had one image of each, well I plucked up the courage to be a bit cheeky and asked her if she would send me some more and Heidi very kindly said she would. So now I can use the ones I have safe in the knowledge that I will be getting some more soon.

The image is Sugar Nellie (obviously), papers are BG Sugared, flowers from poppicrafts, Dovecraft metal flower brad, Papermania crystal gems & ribbon from stash.Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards (hopefully this dosent count as an embllishment, as I already have the flower, the ribbon & the gems.
The Inside
Have used the same papers as on the front from the BG Sugared stack.

Another 2 challenges with 1 card

Am on a roll tonight, I have even joined in with a challenge I dont have on my list. This card covers the Sketch & Stash challenge which is a fab sketch, where you have to use something new or something forgotton & also the Pollycraft challenge which is doodleling. This is the first time I have entered either of these challenges, but thanks to the lovely Dawny P who sent me this great image I have been able to enter the Pollycraft one.

The image is a lovely little pollycraft elf, the papers are a mix of Papermania sweet nothings & and my new scrumptious ones. Ribbon from the Range and flowers & gems from stash. I have doodled hearts in the border around the image. I added extra flowers to the design as 1 just didnt look right and added the extra ribbon along the top to balance out the bottom. Hope thats ok.
