Planting some love for Mojo Monday

I am really enjoying myself at the moment, I have used my money that I earned from the 2 demos I did to purchase myself some new rubber. My list has included Penny Black, Sugar Nellie and Pollycraft, so I have lots to play with at the moment.

For this card for Mojo Monday I decided to use Planting some love from Sugar Nellie isnt she just gorgeous.

The papers are Ambrosia from Basic Grey, Image Sugar Nellie (obviously) coloured in using Whispers pens and matted onto DCWV cardstock, Dovecraft ribbon, Papermania pearl gems & my own computer generated sentiment.
On the inside I used the little kitty that came with the SN stamp.

In the frame with Penny Black

First of all I would like to say a big thanks to all of you who have made lovely comments on my demo samples. I can only hope that the customers next saturday are as complimentry.
I have had to do a couple of personal cards today for my nephew who's birthday is tomorrow. I was totally unsure what to do as I find male cards really hard. Luckily for me the postie dropped off some PB images that I had brought off Ebay and there was a couple of suitable designs in there. I am hoping to be able to do some challenges this week as the last 2 weeks have been chaos and with me being ill as well I missed most of them. So am I hoping to be able to take part in most of them this week. So I have decided to enter this card in the Penny Black challenge this week which is 'In the Frame' you have to include a frame somewhere on your card. So I have mounted my image straight onto the card, then cut out a frame and mounted on top of the image with foam pads to give it some depth. I also decided to make this card not too fussy and went for just 2 patterned papers and a couple of brads. I think sometimes with male cards its best to do something quite plain and simple.

This fab surfer dude is from Penny Black coloured in with whispers pens , I have no idea of the name as I dont own the stamp. The papers are Papermania for him collection, DCWV cardstock, Papermania sentiment sticker & Dovecraft brads.

Papertake Weekly

This card was done following another one of Dawny P's fab sketches over on papertake Weekly. Again it is quite a simple card, just following the images without really adding anything extra to it. As at this point I had Abbie at the table with me Sticking, she has this obsession with stickers and just loves to sit there and stick them onto a piece of white paper. Every time we go out she has to have some new stickers, I had some great bargins from Woolies though and got her about 10 sheets of disney stickers for 5p a sheet so she was very happy with them as she loves Mickey & Minnie. As I said this is again a simple card as I do find it hard to concentrate when every 5 seconds you are having to go ooh lovely, yes Abbie very nice, etc every time she stuck a sticker down. Anyway here is my card.

The Tilda image was given to me by the lovely Amanda, coloured in using Whispers pens, the papers are Basic Grey and are a mixture of Off Beat & Eva. Brown satin ribbon from the shop & computer generated sentiment.

One Stop Craft Challenge

A very simple card for this challenge as I have been trying to craft in between taking turns on the Wii with Oli and doing Peppa Pig Jigsaw puzzles & Plating Dora's hair with Abbie (oh what an exciting life I lead). Hubby went back to work today and it has been great, I love it when he has time off work but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing (you know what I mean dont you ladies). The highlight of our day (sadly not the poor sod who had to go in it), was seeing the Air Ambulance fly over our house and land on the park just round the corner. Oli was so excited to see it, it he loves things like that-helicopters, fire engines, dumper trucks etc. So we quickly got our coats on and dashed round to the park to see it. There is was in all its splender with loads of kids looking going whoa, wow etc. Apparently a little lad who lives in the flats above the shops next to the park had fell off his bunk bed and broke his hip (Owch !!!). We had to stay until it took off, I felt really awful standing there as I didnt want to be a gawper, and did only go to look at the helicopter. We were only in the park though by the helicopter and all the action was taking place at the back of the shops so I didnt feel that bad. Oli came back home and wanted to call his dad and his nan & grandad to tell them all about it. Know doubt he will be telling everyone at school on Monday. Anyway back to the challenge, the challenge over on the One Stop Card Craft was Groups of 3. So for my card I have used 3 papers, 3 brads & 3 colours.

The image is from Sugar Nellie coloured in using Whispers pens in Green, Blue & Yellow, The papers are Basic Grey Off Beat 3 papers -Green, Blue & Yellow, 3 Dovecraft brads . Sentiement is a Papermania rub-on.

Penny Black Challenge

This is the second card I have made this afternoon and it is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme this week is Monocromatic, you could either go for the monocrome look or use different shades of the same colour. I have opted for black and cream, as I have this lovely little pack of papers that were asking to be used. I have also used my lovely Ginger stamp again, as I thought she would suit perfectly.

Papers are Craft House Allsorts collection, image is Penny Black Ginger coloured with whispers brushmarkers and buttons are from stash.
