Fancy a Cupcake

I did this card last week for the Charizma challenge and have only just realised that I havent posted it. The challenge over at the Charizma blog is Cupcakes. I have used on of the new Smirk decoupage range and some cute cupcake papers from the same range.

I have added extra glitz to the decoupage by colouring the hair and heart in with Sakura gelly rolls pens. Added a bit of faux stitching round the edges and a couple of Prima flowers with Papermania gem brads.

Smirk meets Cute Card Thursday & 2 lovely awards!!

Here is another demo card that I made using the new Smirk range. I have tried to be a different with this card and have cut an apeture in the front and placed the decoupage image behind it. The sentiment on the front has been cut out from one of the papers and matted onto DCWV cardstock. I thought of a great sentiment to put on the inside with the decoupage. For this reason I have decided to enter this in the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is 'have a giggle' where you have to make a humorus card. The card is quite simple as I dont want to baffle people with OTT cards, I want them to come to the demo and think 'hey thats good doesnt look too hard I can do that' do you know what I mean!.

The Inside with computer generated sentiment.

Hope you like.

I have also been given 2 lovely awards from the lovely Lesley & Carly.

This one is from Lesley & I have to pass onto 5 people.

I have found it really hard to chose, but I keep passing whenever I have been given an award so I thought its about time I did. All these girls have fabulous blogs and never ever fail to inspire me and always leave me gobsmaked with their new creations. So for this reason I pass this award onto and in no particular order.

Bev - http://www.bevscrafts.blogspot.com/

Jacqui - http://www.jacqui47.blogspot.com/

This Lemonade Award is given by a previous winner (carly who very kindley passed it on to me) to 5 people who have shown a great attitude or gratitude this week. It’s a great way to show these people that you appreciate them.
I would like to pass this award along to the following people in appreciation of all the lovely comments on my site, and for the extra little things they do for me.

1. Amanda - www.amandaspaperpalace.blogspot.com
2. Lesley - www.pinklesdreams.blogspot.com
3. Heidi- www.thecraftygoatgirl.blogspot.com
4. Lynsey - www.lynseys-place.blogspot.com

I would lastly like to pass this on to a fabulous young lady, who has so much talent and has just started her own blog and shows great attitude and gratitude for comments that are posted on her blog.

SMIRK !!!!!!!!!

OK this is gonna be a long one with lots of piccy's. As you know I am doing my first ever demo on 31st Jan at the shop where I work. I have been a busy little bee over the last few days making some samples up and I thought I would give you a little sneeky peep. We have decided to focus on 3 new product ranges that have recently come into the shop. Forever Friends decoupage, the new Laura Ashley range and the brand new range from Trimcraft called SMIRK!!.

Here are some pics of some of the creations I have made using the new Smirk range. I think this is gonna be a range that you either love or hate with avengance. I personally love it, it is so fun and funky and perfect for young teenage girls.

These are the 4 card samples I have made using the die cut decoupage packs, paper packs glitter tags & funky brads.

I love this gorgeous little notebook and pencil set made with the papers, stamps & funky brads.

This little bookmark was made using up bits of scrap, ribbon and a brad.

This stationary set was so easy to make from and A5 card blank, papers, stamps & brads.
The Front

The inside
Close up of LH inside with papers
Close up of RH inside with envelopes
A6 sized paper, stamped images in rh bottom corner & dottied a border round all 4 edges.
Hope you like my creations, I have tried to do something other than just cards just to give people a bit more scope on what can be done with the stuff. I still have a few more ideas to try out, but if you have any ideas of something a bit different to try please let me know and I will give it a go.
