With a bit of a zip

Hi all,

Well I am very busy beavering away behind the scenes doing a lot of DT work which I cant show you just yet, so thought I would show you a card that I made with my class ladies a few weeks ago.

As it was my first week back after having my op I went easy on them and gave them quite an easy card to make, as Fathers Day was coming up I went with that theme and created these shirt cards incorperating a Zip. I do however always give my ladies a choice of images/sentiments whenever we do cards so some of the girls made them into birthday cards.

As I said above the cards were quite simple and easy to make but look very effective and make a great male card.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please do pop back tomorrow to see my showcase for Milkcoffee & a peek at a new Little Claire Christmas stamp.

Anyway, we have a new challenge over at Little Claire which this month our theme is :

So here is my card, I have chosen to use the fabulous Joie De Vivre stamp and coloured her up in our patriotic colours. I think she just sums up this summer to me, wouldn't we all like to be celebrating with the careless joy of running through a field full of flowers lol!!!

I have teamed my image with Portabello Road papers and some gorgeous flowers from WOC. The fabulous ribbon was actually tied around some PJ's I got for my birthday (fab freebie or what!!). The punched border stopper is a Martha Stewart & finished off with a Craftwork Card sentiment & pearls

Birthday Cupcakes

Hi all,

Remember me telling you in my last post about Rich's Bungee, well we heard some news today that after we had left one of the bungee ropes broke whilst in motion. Apparently the cage was swinging by the one rope and crashing into the support posts. The 2 riders had cuts and bruises but were ok luckily, but a bit shocked I bet!!!!. I'm so glad we had left and the kids didn't have to see that happen, I don't know what I would have done if that had been Rich & Mart up there when it happened.

Anyway today sees a new showcase over at Milkcoffee and this week we are showcasing Birthday Celebration images. I used Birthday Girl with Bunny Ears for my card, isn't she just adorable!. She is available with lots more gorgeous images in the Milkcoffee Store.

I coloured her with Promarkers and teamed her with some fabulous Fancy Pants papers that are free with the latest issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft. The ribbon is from Dovecraft that has been in my stash for ages and a few! WOC flowers to finish.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, will be back soon with cards for Totally Gorjuss & Little Claire.

Lets Celebrate!!

Hi all,

Hope you are all enjoying the peace of having the kids back at school. I had a fab afternoon to myself yesterday as Rich was at work too, so had lots of lovely peace and quiet.

Thought I'd pop on today and show you the card I made Rich for our anniversary. I used some fab products from Trimcraft including Fizzy Moon Occasions Decoupage and First Edition Love Song 6x6 paper pad.

Whilst watching Create & Craft the other day, I learnt a fab new trick with decoupage that I had not ever thought of before. Basically you emboss details on your top piece from the back to make them stand out. I did this with the eyes, noses, belly button & flowers and it really makes a difference.

Now I also have something funny to tell you, well it was funny at the time anyway. On Sunday my brother did a Reverse Bungee for Birmingham Childrens Hospital and we went to watch. Well once we got there we found out it was one of those cages that sat 2 people, so someone had to go on with him. Hubby got elected to go on with him and it was so funny watching them being thrown 300ft in the air screaming their heads off. We paid for a video of the Bungee and the camera was strapped to the cage, well some of the faces they were pulling were just so funny,  I nearly wet myself watching it lol!!

Anyway thats enough waffle, thanks for popping by my blog today.

Picnic for two - DT card for Totally Gorjuss

Hi all,

Oooops!!! I am a bit late posting my DT make for Totally Gorjuss this week. I did think I had done it last night and have only just realised I hadn't - must be something to do with the couple of glasses of wine!!.

Anyway today sees a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week our theme is

Sunshine

So we would like to see anything on your cards that is inspired by the sun, not that we are getting much at the moment lol.

Well here's my card, I have recently been sent the fab new line of goodies from Trimcraft to work with called The London Line by Helz Cuppleditch, what can I say its a fabulous collection with a very British feel to it including images & papers suitable for Tea Partys, Birthday's, the Olympics and everything that we are going to be celebrating in 2012.

As soon as we see sunshine in our house it make us want to go out and one of the things the kids love doing best is going to Telford Park with a picnic, it give us the best of both worlds as I can pop into the shopping centre whilst there too lol!!!. So my card has been based on a picnic in the park.

Please pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates bright & sunny creations, join in the fun with us and you have a chance of winning a prize from Crafters Companion

Thanks for popping by my blog today, do pop by tomorrow as I have something new and exciting to share with you, and I promise to get it scheduled up on time lol!!!

You Rock - DT for Cardmadfairy's

Hi all,

Firstly I would like to say a BIG!! Happy Anniversary to my Hubby today, as we are celebrating 10 years of marriage. We have been together for 16 years in total, but today reach double figures of wedded bliss lol!!!. We have had some good times together and some bad, but through it all Rich has been my rock, my friend and my sole mate and I love him to bits. Things have not been easy for us since Abbie was born and sometimes when it seems things just can't get any worse they do!, we have had a lot of bad luck these last 2 years with one thing and another but we are still going strong and have proved everyone wrong who said it wouldn't last due to the age difference (Rich is 13years older than me!!).

Here is us enjoying the Jubilee Celebrations at a family BBQ on Monday
Rich is looking a bit worse for wear lol!!!!

Today sees a new challenge over at Cardmadfairy's Digi Days and this challenge we would like to see
