KIds Christmas Cards

Well it has been a while since I last managed to post on here, I have been so busy with the shop its been unbelieveable. I have started doing card classes which esculated into me doing one every day, with that and working the shop as well I havent had much time at all for crafting. But christmas is looming and I desperately need to get going with my cards, so I have found some time the last couple of days and have made the most of it and got quite a few done.

These are the 2 I have made for the kids, the card shapes are some that we have been working on in classes.

This is Oliver's card which was made with insperation from the fabulous Bev's blog. I have been teaching side steppers in class, but when I saw this Mid Stepper on Bev's blog I decided I wanted to have a go at this.

This is Abbie's, I have also been teaching the Easel Card in class and thought it would be great for Abbie's card.

Christmas Cards

Well I didnt fall off the end of the earth, just nearly!!!!. I cant believe it has been over a month since I last posted on here. Owning your own craft shop is supposed to be every crafters dream, well it is if you dont want to craft anymore lol!!!. I have barely had time to do any crafting and seem to spend most of my time surfing the web looking for new goodies to stock. It has paid off though and I can now add Promarkers & Sugar Nellie to some of the products available. But as soon at the gorgeous Sugar came into the shop I started getting very ichy fingers. So here are a couple of cards I have made using them, they dont follow any challenges, I just wanted to get crafty.

I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel though and will hopefully soon be able to catch up with all your fabulous creations that I have been missing out on.

I have used a couple of Popcorn Bear stamps that I got in for the shop and these 2 somehow found there way into my stamp box !!!.
They also fit into 2 challenges Stampavie & More, and Secret Crafter who both want to see animals on your cards this week.

Cardmaking & Papercraft Iss 71

Hi everyone,
Sorry no cards from me at the moment, havent had chance to have a crafty session for a while. I even had to go and buy my Sister-in-Law and Brother's birthday cards from a shop last week, how bad is that!!!!!!.
I thought I would just show you a quick piccy of this months Cardmaking & Papercraft mag where I had the designer challenge and had to create 5 cards suitable for the month of November including a Firework card (which was a nightmare).

I am hoping to resume normal service into cardmaking as soon as I can, have had a pretty hetic few weeks with the shop and the opening. The weekend went well though and my open day was a big success, so a big thanks to all my customers who came and supported me in my new venture.

Another sketch challenge card from me today & another new Sugar Nellie stamp. I fell in love with this little gorjuss girl with her crown on her head, Abbie loves dressing up as a princess and has a few of the Disney Princess dresses so this stamp reminds me of her.

1st Christmas Card

As you know I have been getting lots of stock in for the shop, and somehow some of the items have jumped out of their boxes and said they wanted to stay with me !!!!.

I fell in love with 2 gorgeous new stamps from Penny Black, so I had to make something with them. This card was originally supposed to go on the shop's inspiration blog, but I got carried away and added some things onto it which we dont sell. I dont want to put anything on the shop's blog with items we dont sell as I feel its unfair to the customers.

Image is Penny black and is called Hand Mailed, papers are Crafts-Too, Papermania shimmer dots & pearl brad, Craftwork Cards oval sentiment, Hobbycraft snowflake punch. The image has been matted using Nesties.

The other item I made is a little money holder, if you want to take a peak you will find it HERE.

Award

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the serious lack of posting lately, I have had a lot on with the shop. I have ordered lots of goodies in ready for the opening day and most of them have come bulk packed so I have been packing them all up separately in nice little hanging bags and it has taken a lot of time.

I have been given this award from the lovely Pat so I thought I would pop it up. Thanks Pat is was lovely of you to think of me.

Long time no cards

Hi everyone, I am finally back with a few cards. Last night was the first time in ages that I have had time to sit down and craft. I got the MME Bloom & Grow and Wild Asparagus a few weeks ago and have been dying to use it so I gave it an airing last night.

This first card is following the fab sketch over on the Sugar Bowl, I got out some of my little SN cuties as I thought they went so well with the B&G papers so it seems adpt that the first card I made was for this challenge.

This second card follows the sketch over on Sketch & Stash, my new items are my Papers & my old item is my fabulous SN stamp Sweet & Sassy.

Finally this 3rd card is following the fab sketch over on Friday Sketchers, and again using a SN image this time the adorable Daisy.

Papers - MME Bloom & Grow 6 x 6 paper pad

Hol Photos

Hi all,
I am back off my hols and thought I would pop a couple of piccys up for you to have a look at. We stayed at the Pontins stite in prestatyn and had a fantastic time, the weather was great(we all have lovely sun tans), good company, good food and good times. Had a couple of little wins on the bingo, saw a fabulous Take That tribute group and really enjoyed ourselves. Oli and Abbie just had a brilliant time, we went out on a few little day trips to Llandudno (and yes I visited the big craft shop there) went up the Great Orme on the Tram & Rich took Oli out to sea on a speedboat ride. Visited the ruins of Conwy Castle which was just magnificent and went into Rhyl a few times, we did so much I would bore you with all the details if I carried on. Abbie really came out of her shell and was up dancing to all the party records with Captain Croc and the gang and attached herself to a few of the Bluecoats, who all fell in love with her and kept telling us how great they thought she was. No-one wanted to come home really, but as we told them if Daddy doesnt go back to work and Mummy dosent get the shop sorted they wont have a holiday next year. Anyway I will leave you with a few picks, and them im off to have a good old blog hop over the next couple of days (in bewteen the washing and ironing!!!!).

And just to temp you all!!!!!, it was Rich's birthday while we where away so we went out for a meal. This was my pudding yummy chocolate fudge cake & ice cream delish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday Sketchers

Made this card following the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. Didnt really turn out how I hoped so am not 100% happy with this. Think its the colour scheme really looks a bit washed out now, added some distressing to the edges of the papers and again hasnt turned out right.

Image is Tidla with Tulips from Magnolia, Papermania Blueberry Hill papers, Craftwork Cards sentiment, Poppicraft flowers & Papermania shimmer dots.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

This is the first of a couple of posts on here tonight, kids were at nan & grandads last night, hubby wasnt in till late so I had a couple of hours to myself. I managed to get a few cards for some challenges done but have popped them on separate post to make them easier to find.

This card is following the fab sketch over on the Sugar Bowl, with the added extra of ribbon & bows. I used this gorgeous little stamp, after having a look through my stamp box I realised I had only used her once before and she was feeling a little neglected lol!!!!.

Magazine card & help needed & More bad news

Hi all, well we have had some rubbish news again today (think tuesday's are not my fave days at the moment). Abbie has been quite ill all weekend with high temp, headaches, lethargic and generally feeling really poorly. We put it down to the psuedomonas, her nurse came to see her today and straight away said it was nothing to do with that and we should contact the NHS Direct straight away. She is now being treated for Swine Flu poor little mite, so again we are having a very bad day. I just dont think we can take much more really, we are just so stressed at the moment.

Anyway thought I would show you the card I made for Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine, Issue 68 comes out on the 10th and I had to make a card and tag using some papers they sent me. I chose to use a fabby little gorjuss girl and this is the outcome. Hope you like.

Next I need your help!!!!!! I recieved this image in a swap and would now like to buy the stamp. The problem is I cant find it anywhere, I thought it was a RAM design but have searched the Stampavie website to no avail. So if you know who is is by, what its called and where I can get it from please let me know.

Thanks

A few cards

Finally I have a few cards to show you. I have managed to find a couple of hours to myself amongst all the chaos and came up with these. They are not for any challenges I just made them cause I wanted to & needed to, was getting major withdrawal symptoms.

Whilst sorting of my stuff, I came across this fab paper and embellishment pack which came free with a mag. So I decided to put it to good use at long last.
The images are Greetings Farm, Sugar Nellie & Messy Rabbit, flowers are Floral Doodles by petaloo and Papermania adhesive gems.

Finally here is a piccy of my little angel with her Nebuliser, she is such a star!!!!!.

As you can tell by her face, she is looking a little unwell at the moment, its so sad to see her so different from her normal self.
