NEC Stash

Hi all,

I dont have a card to show you today but I am doing a lot behind the scenes at the moment. I have been extremely lucky to be asked to do a small commission for a craft mag and have also been asked design some samples for a new craft company called Kraftz (whos products I stock in my shop). So  being as I have no card to show you, and most people seem to be showing what they got at the NEC I thought I would show you what I came away with. (you know you like to be nosy and see what other people have brought lol!!!)

Cardstock & Paper Pads

Stamps

More Stamps, Alcohol Inks & Blender

LOTV Toppers, Ribbons & Flowers

Stickles, Stamps, Embossing Folders, Prima Flowers & Quilling Tool
*(the Marianne stamps I got from a shop a few days before the NEC 1/2 price!!)

Can you believe how much I got, you wouldnt think I could possibly find the need to spend that much when I have my own shop. But, as I keep telling my hubby I cant stock everything I would like to so have to get that from elsewhere lol!!

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Flowers, flowers everywhere & Top 3

Hi all,

I have a bit of a different card for you today which has no stamped image on it !!!. I have made this card for my stepmum for Mothers Day and wanted to try something a bit different. A lot of challenges at the moment have something to do with mothers day and or flowers including handmade flowers.

So for my card I took 4 different sided circular nesties and cut them out of 3 different papers, layered them together with a brad, spritzed them with some Smooch Spritz and scrunched them up. I then did a bit of handstitching for the stems and added a few butterflies to finish. The sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Ladybug Crafts Ink - Handmade Flowers

Partytime Tuesdays  - Anything Goes + Handmade Flowers

CES Challenges - Die Cut Crazy

Tuesday Throwdown - Florals

Cupcake Craft Challenges - Flowers for Mum

I also was pleasantly suprised today to find that I had made the top 3 over at Ladybug Crafts Ink last week for my 50th Nikki Card - Thanks girls much appreciated.

Martini Nikki

Hi all

Sorry the posts have been in short supply this week, I have been soo busy you would not believe. Anyway my SIL asked me to make a card for her best friend's 50th this weekend and the brief was - something sassy but not girly, no pink, not cute and a bit grown up. Well I think this fabulous Martini Nikki fits the bill prefectly, and over on the LCI challenge blog this week they have a monochrome theme. I chose blue as my colour scheme so teamed Nikki with some gorgeous Papermania Capsule Collection papers. Added a splattering of flowers - glimmered up with Stickles and finished with some fabby ribbon I got from the NEC on Thurs. The only problem I had was I had no blue card that matched, so I matted with black just to make it stand out a bit (hope thats ok girls!). Anyway I think my friend Diane (who makes the most fab LCI cards would be proud of me lol!!)

So I would like to enter this card into the following challenge

Ladybug Crafts Ink - Monochrome

Allsorts - Special Lady

Craft Your Days Away - Mum/Special Lady

Hi all

Anyway this card is following the fab sketch over on LOTV, I used a Cute Square but felt it didnt really have enough colour so I got my polys out and added a bit more. I then blinged her wings and the flowers up with some stickles. I teamed her with some lovely Basic Grey papers, added tonnes of pretty flowers and some very delish oganza ribbon. Finshed off with some lovely pearl gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

I have managed to make this card featuring a fabulous SN image called Little Artist - isnt she soo cute, I am ashamed to say she has been uninked since I got her last year along with a few others (slaps hand!!).

Pretty Lilacs

Hi All,

Well has'nt the weather been lovely here today, almost spring like. I have had a lovely afternoon crafting infront of my patio doors with the sun shining through. The most peculiar thing happened to me this morning there I was down the shop trying to teach a class when the phone went. It was only the local radio station, they had randomly picked my number from somewhere and wanted me to take part in their beat the intro game. Well talk about being totally put on the spot, luckilly it is pre-recorded and goes out tomorrow morning its something they do with the local businesses so they also asked me loads of questions about the shop so I gave it a good plug!!!!. Anyway I got the song wrong in the end, I guessed it was Coldplay but hadn't got a clue of the title -told them off for not playing me Take That lol!!! I would have got that right. So if any of you listen to Wolf 107.7fm at 8.30 in the morning you will hear my black country accent on the radio.

Anyway today I have made a card for my sister's birthday next month, and have managed to fit it in with a few challenges.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

LOTV - Say it with flowers (card speaks for itself)

One stitch at a time - Glitter & Gems (glitter on flowers, & image - pearl gems)

Totally Gorjuss - Pearls & lace ( lacy dollie & pearl gems)

Male Cards

Hi All,

I had to make one of those dreaded male cards this week, as its my cousin's birthday. I wanted to keep it quick and simple but effective. So I followed the Sketch No. 4 at LORA Crafts Sketch Blog and did a bit of paper piecing on the image. In the end I really enjoyed making the card and so using the same papers but in different colours and different images from the same stamp set made a few more. Now I have some male cards made up for when I need them.

As you can see I think they look quite effective with the bit of paper piecing, and as I was folllowing a sketch were quite quick to produce.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges.

Creative Card Crew - No Flowers (definately no flowers on these)

MAWTT - Male

One Stop - Clean & Simple ( No extra flowers, ribbons etc definately clean and simple for me)

Crafty Emma - Men Only

Creative Craft World - Male Card
