Let it Snow

Hi all,

Hope you are having a fabulous Christmas and that Santa brought you lots of lovely goodies yesterday. We had a lovely day yesterday, had a nice relaxed morning (although madam did get us up at 4.20am!!) then went to my dad and stepmoms for lunch and had a laugh with a couple of board games. Came home and snuggled up on the sofa with the Dr last night and a few glasses of wine a nibbles finished the day of perfectly.

Today we are having a lazy day whilst the kids play with their new toys, and generally hubby and I are enjoying the quiet.

So I have a couple of xmas cards left I havent shown you yet so though I'd post a couple up today.

Both cards have been made using some gorgeous pre-coloured topper from LOTV - great for quick cards. Designs kept quite simple and added one of those gorgoeus sparkly snowflakes on each one.

Thanks for popping by today, enjoy the rest of your christmas break.

Fairy Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I have one of my class cards to show you today, we did a variation of a Tri Shutter card ( I know there are quite a few with different measuments etc), this one give you 3 equal size panels in the middle. The girls loved this one and even more so cause I gave them a set of pre-coloured toppers to use too so they didn't have to colour lol!!!

The papers are from an old Papermania Pad (I think) and the toppers are Mo Manning - Christmas Fairies. We kept the design quite simple and just finished off with a few sparkly flowers from Hobbycraft.

And we are done!!

Hi all,

Whoop whoop!!!! - so last night I actually finished making all my Christmas cards (quite early for me really - I have been known to still be making them on Christmas Eve!!). Anyway I decided to count up how many I had made and wrote and bloomin hell it was 97!! - couldn't believe it, didn't think I liked that many people enough to make them a card lol. But when you count up family, friends, neighbours and teachers etc it soon adds up doesn't it, and those are just people I know closely I haven't even attempted to send any through the post at all.

Anyway I thought I would show you another couple of cards using the Mullberry Wood stamps & same sketch as yesterday's card. This time I used the cute little Elephant & Dog images. The reason for keeping all the cards relatively the same is that they are for hubby's 4 sisters, each year we have a get together and swap pressies. They always open their cards there so I like them to be more or less the same so there's no favoritism lol!!

As with yesterday's card the papers are last years Dovecraft Modern Christmas & I added a couple of Die Cut Xmas Trees from Anna - Marie Designs.

Thank you for popping by my blog today, it is much appreciated especially as I don't seem to be finding the time to return the favour at the moment.

Letter for you

Hi all,

I have a cute little card to show you today that I made using a Mulberry Wood Stamp. I won a set of six of them in a competition last year but by the time the stamps came it was January and all my Christmas stuff had been packed away.

So I got them out to have a play with the other day and made a set of cards using them. I used the same sketch on all of them for quickness (and to save my brain lol), but just changed the image & papers.

I used some of last years Dovecraft Modern Christmas papers and added a couple of fabby die cut trees I picked up from the Anna-Marie Designs stand at the NEC.

Quick and simple, just how I like them. I will schedule the rest up during the week.

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Pretty Purse

Hi all,

I'm back today to show you a little inspiration I have posted over on the MMCS Blog.

Our theme this is week is bags/boxes and so for my creation I have made a cute little Purse Box.

The box is made using a 12 x 12 piece of card and scoring into shape. The flap was created using a scalloped circle nestie, stuck to the back and a little velcro on the front so that it can be opened.  I used some gorgeous papers from the First Edition range - New Bloom and the flower was cut from the paper, I used 3 different lengths of ribbon platted together for the handle and added a little metal butterfly and brad to finish.

Here are the instructions and measurements if you wish to have a go yourself

Please do check out the MMCS blog during the week to see my teamies fabulous creations.

Pretty Angel

Hi all,

Its time for a new challenge over on the All Dressed Up Blog today and this fortnight our theme is

Christmas

As always we have 2 new fabulous releases launching today as well

For my creation today I decided to alter a little picture frame I picked up a while ago and created a lovely Christmas keepsake which is now sitting proudly on my shelf.

I used the gorgeous Little Angel image, coloured her with my promarkers and added a generous amount of frantage in Shabby White around her. The picture frame also got the frantage treatment and I added lots of lovely flowers which I picked up from Hobbycraft. I finished off with a little wooden sentiment that I coloured with a green promarker and then added a bit of stickles on top. (funny though that the stickles was crystal but has somehow now turned gold!)

Please do pop by the blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations, there is also a fab freebie for you to grab while your there too and a chance to win 3 images of your choice if you enter our challenge.

Krafty Stars

Hi all

Its my turn today to show you some inspiration over on the My Mums Craft Shop Blog, this week our DT theme is Christmas. Today I have decided to do something a little different and created a Star Wreath ( I found the original idea for this on Pinterest) and loved it so thought why not have a go myself.

I took a 12" cardboard wreath shape and covered it in stars cut from Kraft card, then I Die Cut 8 Stars the same size out from the gorgeous paper pad Nordic Pines from Bazzil Basics. Each star is then scored from each tip and folded into shape. To finish off I added some fabby vintage buttons and a lovely Red Gingham Bow.

As you can see my creation is now hanging off my Fire Place along with all my other Christmas Decs.

Thanks for popping by my blog today today, please pop on over to the MMCS Blog during the week to see some fabulous inspiration from my team mates.

Snow Buddies

Hi all

Its my turn today to show you a little inspiration over on the My Mums Craft Shop Blog, and our theme this week is to use None traditional Christmas Colours.

Now I have to admit I was a bit stumped on this as all my xmas papers were the usual reds, greens, blues etc. Then I had a brainwave and decided to use a none xmas pad and used a couple of sheets with a more generic pattern in them.

I used an adorable Tiddly Inks stamp - Winter Wishes and teamed it with some gorgeous Echo Park papers - Here & Now. I kept the card quite simple just adding a few snowflakes cut from a Marrianne Die and bit of white Satin Ribbon.

I am quite pleased with how my card has turned out and I hope it has showed you how you don't need to spend lots on new paper for Christmas cards but to be a bit wise with the papers you may already have.

Thank you for popping by my blog today.

Pretty Backgrounds

Hi all,

Thought I'd pop on today with a Class Card we made a while back. For this card I was showing the girls how to create your own fabulous paper background using the Herringbone Technique I saw over on Splitcoast Stampers.

As the background kept them, busy for a while we used some gorgeous pre-coloured Toppers for the images and kept the cards quite simple just adding a couple of flowers and a pretty bow. The papers we used were LOTV.

The girls loved the effect the pattern gave, but dont think they enjoyed cutting up all the little strips of paper and sticking them together lol - they keep threatening to ban me from using the internet!!

Christmas Wreath

Hi all,

Another of my Christmas makes today, this time I made this gorgeous Wreath. Another item that I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

It was quite easy to make, although not particularly quick lol. I took a styrofaom wreath shape and wrapped it generously in the gorgeous red gingham ribbon. The little bird house is a plain chipboard one that I covered in paper and then hung from the middle of the wreath. The flowers were pre made ones that I picked up from Hobbycraft (too lazy to die cut my own lol) and the little wooden sentiment is from Trimcraft, all hot glued onto the wreath. I topped it off with a large triple bow made using the gingham ribbon, spider webbing, a bit if stitched ribbon, twine and a largish button.

--------------------------------------------

Just to finish thought I'd show you my goodies I picked up from the NEC at the weekend.

Lots of card & card blanks for my classes, gorgeous paper pads from Echo Park, Dovecraft & LOTV. Hobby House & LOTV toppers for those quick cards, a few dies I have my eye on for a while, Inkylicious stamps, a gorgeous Paperbabe stamp, Frantage, a reduced MS border punch and a few pretty embellishments. Should keep me going till March lol!!!

Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree

Hi all,

Something a little different from me today, I love trying out new things and having a go at making 3D projects rather than just cards. So when I came across a leaflet in Hobbycraft for a cute button Christmas Tree I knew I had to have a go (who knew all those buttons left over from the shop would come in handy!!).

I just love how this turned out and tbh its pretty easy to make and only took me about an hour & half from start to finish. All you basically do is pin buttons onto a Styrofoam cone shape, you do however need a lot of buttons and pins - I think I probably used at least 300 on this tree (which is about 12" high).

I went with a very traditional red, green and white theme, as that matches the rest of my Christmas decorations as this year I am going for a bit of a homespun look so this will deff fit right in place.

Winter Deer

Hi all,

I have a card to show you today that has been made using some gorgeous products available at My Mums Craft Shop.

The theme over on the blog this week is  Winter Birthday's  and for my inspiration post I came up with this.

I have used some gorgeous products on this card including a Wild Rose Studio Printed Panel - Bluebell at Christmas & fabulous Echo Park Tis the Season papers. I used papers from the pad with a more generic pattern on them to give the card a more winter rather than christmas feel. I finished off with some ribbon that came wrapped around some PJ's, cotton lace and fabulous mulberry flowers I picked up from Hobbycraft on their 3 for 2 offer.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, am hoping to have a massive blogging session this weekend and looking forward to catching up with all your lovely creations.

Birthday Candles

Hi all,

Thought I'd show you a couple of cards I made my brother for his birthday the other week. Now I hate making male cards and always find them a bit boring and hard especially when you cant do a cute one (well a 15 year old just doesn't do cute!!).

So I admit I totally copied my cards from 2 I found on Pinterest (you will find the links here) and was quite pleased with result and my brother liked them so thats all that matters.

They were pretty quick and easy to make and it was a nice change not to have to spend hours colouring. I used a couple of different MME paper pads, a few dies and bit of twine.

Thanks for popping by my blog today
