Sweet & Sassy

Hi all,

Nice and simple card for you today, its another class make and I took the inspiration after seeing Chris from The Hobby House make this card as a demo on C&C a while ago.

At the time I didn't know what measurements she used so I made my own up. As always with my class cards the design and embellishments are kept very simple.

The stamp is an old favorite of mine called Sweet & Sassy which I originally got from Sugar Nellie, although I do believe it is now available from Whimsy Stamps. I teamed the image with some fabby First Edition - Up, Up & Away papers and added a simple paper blossom and sentiment to finish. I just love the fresh zesty clean feel to this card.

Gift for you

Hi all,

Well we had another hospital trip this week and Abbie has once again lost weight and her lung function still down. She has had her steroid medication changed for 2 months and she will then have a review with her maybe being given a new nebulised drug for her to try.

I have a cute girly card for you today, I used an adorable Wee Stamps Digi and just went to town adding lots of gorgeous embellies to make my card very pretty and girly.

I teamed the image with some pretty MME papers, lace, WOC flowers, a doilie, cheesecloth, organza ribbon & a dinky pearl heart.

I love how it turned out and has such a pretty summery feel to it.

On your special day

Hi all,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, ours was another full one again lol. Oli broke up from school on Friday and as it was his last day had a very emotional leavers assembly and Abbie did her Brownie promise. Saturday we had dance show rehersals and then yesterday my little cousin was christened (well my second cousin really!!) and we had the dance show on the night. Now I don't have any piccys to show you as we were not allowed to take pics or film the show at all, thinks its prob got something to do with the DVD they were selling!!!

So thought I would show you the card I made for little Rubie-Lee.

I used an old Nellie Snellen stamp (which has just seen its first inking!!) and teamed the adorable little girl with some very pretty papers that were free with a magazine a while ago. I used lots of WOC flowers, some fabby pink gingham ribbon and lovely pearl swirls.

Darling Marci

Hi all,

Hope you are all enjoying this fantastic weather we have been having and are not having as stressful week as I am. Abbie's hospital app didn't go as well as we had hoped, her lung function has come right back down again and her weight had dropped, so at the moment we are just awaiting all the test results (x-rays, bloods, cough plates, exercise tolerance) to come back before her consultant makes a decision on what we do next. Also poor Oli has been suffering quite badly this week after getting sunburnt on Sunday afternoon, his back has all blistered up and he has been in a lot of pain, hopefully we seem have gone past the worst of it now and it seems to be drying up.

On top of all that, missy had a very upset tummy on Tue night and we found out that she had only gone and eaten a seed pod from a plant in the garden. Which when we looked up online was classed as toxic and can cause gastroenteritis and breathing difficulties - thankfully apart from an upset tummy for a few hours she was fine lol!!!

Anyway better show you the card I popped on her to post. Trying to make a few cards that will fit in an envelope rather than keep buying/making boxes so not too many embellies and I used flat flowers rather than the roses etc.

I used the gorgeous La La Land Marci image and teamed her with some pretty LOTV papers, the background is my new Stampin Up embossing folder (love this, got the hexagon one too but that's not come out the packet yet!!) and just added a bit of ribbon, flat flowers and pearls to finish.

I love the clean fresh feel to this card and think the pale blue teamed with the kraft looks fab. Am also quite pleased with my colouring on this one too.

Anyway thanks for popping by my blog today, have a fabulous weekend whatever your doing

Window Tag Card

Hi all,

A quick post from me today, we are off up the hospital shortly for Abbies Annual Review or MOT as we call it. Going to be a long afternoon as its X-rays, Bloods, Lung Function, Liver Function tests etc ect.

Thought I'd pop another class card on to show that we had the other week, its called a Window Tag Card.
The front of the card has a window Die Cut in the centre and the image is on the Tag, when you pull the tag out it then shows a hidden sentiment.

These are the cards with the Tags fully in showing the image in the window

Tag pulled out and showing the hidden sentiment

The images are some gorgoeus LOTV stamps and I think papers are from an old MME pad. A couple of punched flowers and sentiment just to finish them off.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather

Congratulations

Hi all,

We spent last Saturday at my nephew's wedding, it was a beautiful church service, the bride looked lovely and we had a fabulous time.

I was a right last minute Annie on the cardmaking front and only made their card on the morning of the wedding (slaps hand!!!) so it had to be something pretty quick.

I dug out some old LOTV wedding toppers, chose one and away I went - then I had a thought after about colour scheme and whether I should have matched the card or not. Turns out all was ok in the end as my card colours were cream, pink & grey and guess what all the men had grey suits, cream waistcoats and cravats and the bridesmaid dresses were cream with a pink sash, so could have got away with telling them I had planned it lol!!!

Anyway here is a pic of the card, I went for a very romantic & a bit feminine (really) kinda feel but I really liked how it turned out.

The papers were from the First Edition Rose Garden pad and I distressed all the edges on the papers, the image & dollie with Victorian Velvet DI. Added lot of pretty flowers and embellies to finish and printed off a cute little love Bingo card to tuck in behind the image.

Here are a couple of pics from the day

Ahoy There

Hi all,

Well I have a bit of news for you today, A while ago I was asked by a lovely lady in Blog Land to join her DT. Unfortunately it was while I was having a bit of a crisis with my crafting, so I did a guest spot for her with the promise that when I was feeling a bit more up to it I would join.

So after having a couple of months off from DT duties, I decided to start afresh and join in with a new team and today I officially join the fantabulous Ladybugs over at Ladybug Crafts Ink. I couldn't have chosen a better time to join as today they have a new release to go along with the challenge.

Through the Ages 6-10 is an extension of extra images to add to the fantastic images already available. I was given the adorable Pirate Billie to work with and this is what I came up with.

I kept the card quite simple as boys don't do fussy and was very chuffed when I found this little skull charm in my collection. Just adding a bit of twine and die cut hearts for my embellies.

I'm sure the other Ladybugs would love it if you popped on over to the Challenge Blog and checked out their creations, while your there you could also join in with our challenge as we have a nice easy theme this fortnight :-  Birthdays.
