Come fly with me - DT for Milkcoffee

Hi all,

Challenge time has rolled around again at Milkcoffee and this fortnight we would like to see

Bright & Bold Colours

So really anything goes as long as your creation is bold, bright and colourful.

Now I always think that male creations look great with bright & funky papers so for my card I have chosen to use a fabby image - Boy with Paper Airplane available from the Milkcoffee shop.

The papers are Echo Park - Walk in the Park and I have just added a bit of Bakers Twine and a button to finish. As I have kept it quite simple being a male card lol!!!

A gift for you - MMCS DT

Hi all,

We have another challenge for you over at My Mums Craft Shop today and I hope you can join us.

I chose to go down the easy route and used Birthday as my celebration - As I fancied putting some bunting on my card lol!!!. I have used a fabulous stamp by Elisabeth Bell that used to be part of the Sugar Nellie collection and is now called The Gift that keeps giving and have made a Tent Card.

The papers are Cosmo Cricket, and the flowers from WOC. I made the bunting myself and trimed it with some fabby diamonties on meshing which I got from the floristry warehouse.

Back home

Hi all,

Just thought I would let you know that all has gone well with my operation and I am now back home recouperating at my moms. The op was more complicated that originally thought and my bowels & bladder were both fused to my womb, with my womb then being fused to my abdominal wall. The level of endrometerosis I had was level 4 which is apparently the worst you can get and was everywhere. The surgeon said I was the worse case he had ever done. I nearly needed a blood transfusion, as I lost a lot of blood but they managed to stablize me and then had some internal bleeding for a few days afterwards. To top it off I then had a little fall which pulled my wound and had made it very sore and painful and led to a bit of extra bleeding. I am stopping with my mom for a week or so as my hubby cant get anytime off work and obviously am in no fit state to do anything. So i am being well looked after and pampered. I am still feeling very tired and struggling to do anything much other than just lying on the sofa or in bed and taking lots of painkillers. I hope to be able to keep popping on the laptop for an hour or so each day, so will be back soon.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter break and are all well.

Also as you know I have had my email account hacked whilst I have been in hospital and now have no access to it. I know there has been an email sent from my account asking for money so please ignore anything suspicious you may get from me. I think I may have to set up a new account so please bear with.

Gorjuss Birthday - DT for Totally Gorjuss

And here is my card, I have followed the sketch exactly and did a bit of paper pleating with my little strip behind the oval.

The papers are from a Gorgeous DCWV stack called Cafe Meditteranean and have such lush patterns and colours. The flowers are from Marrianne stamp & emboss punches and of course the image is a Gorjuss Girl herself.

Easter Treat Bag - DT MMCS

Hi all,

Wednesday has rolled round again and that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop.

This week our theme is

Easter/Animal

and we are sponsered by the fabulous

 

So this week I made a little Easter Treat Bag, to hold some yummy Mini Eggs. I have used a fabby image called Springtime Bunny. 

The bag is bascially made from a 6x6 square card bank with a little folding here and there. You can find the tutorial for this bag HERE.

The papers are Echo Park - A walk in the Park and I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the flap and Marrianne Design punch for the flowers.

Update & New Images

Hi all,

Just a quick post today to give you a bit of an update on my health problems. Last week I had a call that my op could be brought forward and so on Wed (4/4) I go in for my Hysterectomy whoop whoop!!!. Anyway so its not too quiet round here I have made most of my DT cards for April & May and scheduled them up, so at least it will still keep my blog going whilst I recouperate.

I dont have a card for you today, I do however have some previews of new images that have just been released over at Milkcoffee. Click each image to be taken straight to the shop.

Cool Dude - GDT for Joanna Sheen

Hi all,

Well I have a bit of exciting news today, a few weeks ago I was asked by the lovely Paula over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge to Guest Design for their challenge on 1st April (today lol!!!)

The theme for this challenge is :

Its a Mans World

Yep another one of those dreaded male cards lol!!!. Anyway for my card I have used a fabby image from the Daisy & Friends CD and teamed him with some papers from MME Blink of an Eye collection.

Dont you just love this cool dude in his shades, not so much cute and just perfect for those pre teen boys of about 10-12. Think I will be saving this for Oli's birthday in Oct.
