Box in a Bag

Hi all,

Well not really done any crafting again, have been purchasing new items, looking at them, stroking them etc but cant seem to get round to using them - although I have been working on a comparision chart for Promarkers/Copics as I noticed a lot of tutorials seem to have copic colours listed so I am trying to do a like for like chart so I can just cross reference.

So thought I'd show another class make - Box in a Bag which I found the tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers, the girls loved doing these and they are relatively easy to make.

Pretty Blossom

Hi all,

So I told you other day that I had finally made a card, well I got round to taking the pic and here it is!!.

Its only taken a few weeks but I have managed to give myself a kick up the bum and get crafting. I have to admit though it took me ages to do this card as to start with I felt like I was forcing myself, but as I got into it I found myself enjoying it again lol.

I used an adorable Wee Stamps image (I used the digi but it does come as a stamp too) and teamed her with some gorgeous MME papers - Collectable Memorable and added lots of lovely WOC flowers. The image was matted onto a doiley and I added a pretty feather behind, finished off with some fabby gingham ribbon and pearl swirl.

So we are finally back to normal here today, the kids have gone back to school and I am back to doing my classes. It will be great to get back into a routine again, although I am not sure about the early morning get ups lol!!!. Abbie is doing really well and seems to have loads more energy so looks like the meds have done her good, will see how she gets on after a full day of school today though.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Interlocking Circles

Hi all,

We have had an up and down week and have been back in hospital again!!! as the cannula did not last (as we knew it wouldn't) so had to go back and have another new one fitted. Unfortunately her little veins did not seem to want to take anymore and the meds were causing her a lot of pain as they were going in. In the end she was having to have gas & air as pain relief just so they could put the meds through. Finally her consultant has decided not to put her through any more stress and said that being as she had had 10 days of meds with her lung function up to 89% from 56% enough was enough and had it taken out and we are home for good this time.

Anyway I have another couple of class cards to show you again today - although I have actually made a card today yay!!!! just need to get a pic took and then I can show you.

These were done a few weeks ago and and are called Interlocking Circle Cards - the two frames are stuck to each door and slot into each other to close the card.

The papers are Trimcraft Floral Pavillion & New Bloom (my faves at the mo!!) All the circles were cut using Nesties and I used a TH rosette die to create the rosette.

Double Pocket Envelope Card

Hi all,

OMG what has happened to the gorgeous weather we had over the the weekend, I am sitting here with my heating on!!!.

As you know we were allowed out of hosptial on Sat to come home and finish the meds off, well we were back up their at 11.30pm on Monday night after Abbie's line failed and was causing her a lot of pain, so we had to go and get a new one put in. Unfortunately all did not go well and 5 hours and 3 tries later we finally came home with a cannula in the back of her hand as her little veins just wouldn't take a new line. Hopefully this will last until we finish the drugs but we are not holding out much hope as cannulas dont' last as long as the lines and my poor little mite just doesn't have very good veins at all, so we could well be in for another visit before the end of the week.

Anyway I have one of my class creations to show you today (another idea found on Pinterest) a Double Pocket Card Holder. The pockets themselves are very easy to make with a few scores and folds using  12 x 12 paper and then obviously decorate them up as you require.

The papers I used are Trimcraft First Edition Floral Pavillion & New Bloom pads and a couple of cute little Fizzy Moon Bears (just the perfect size for these). A bit of ribbon and some pretty WOC flowers to finish.

Hospital update

Hi all,

Just popping on for a quick catch up with you all, we have been in hospital for the last week and I have had no wifi connection at all.

Abbie is doing really well on her anitbiotics and seems to have much more energy- so much so that we have been allowed home with me finishing off the drugs myself.

Thought I'd share you a couple of pics with you.

Firstly this is the fabby 1D card her class mates sent her :-

Inside with little pictures drawn by all her friends

While we were in she was also asked if she could be photoed receiving a cheque that the playroom on the childrens ward had been awarded.

And finally this is a pic of all the drugs we were sent home with to finish the course off lol!!!!

Off to have a hop round your blogs now to check out what I have missed out on.

Hope you are all having a fabby bank holiday weekend

Cut out Flap Card

Hi all,

Another class card to show you today,  I don't have any new creations so good job I have a few of these to show you lol!!!
We are not having too good of a time here at the moment, Abigail didn't have a very good hospital check up last week, and was found to have lost weight again and her lung function has dropped right down to just 56%. Her consultant has decided she needs a 2 week course of IV antibiotics so we are gearing up and packing ready for a little visit to hospital from Monday. Making sure we have lots of things to keep her entertained as we have to have our own little
room and be kept away from others due to risk of cross infection.

Anyway these cute little cards have the cut out in the flap for the little image and then open up and for you to add your little message. The girls really enjoyed making these.

The images are from LOTV and the paper are First Edition - Floral Pavillion

I will pop instructions on when I can get round to typing them up

Double pop up slider

Hi all,

I have found a few pictures of class cards that I have made previously with my ladies, so while I'm not particularly doing much crafting at the moment, thought I might as well show these to you.

This one is a Double Pop Up Slider, when you pull the top tab up, the little mini tab comes up too.

We gave the cards a pretty feminine feel and used some of the older LOTV cute squares for the images.

If you would like instructions on how to make these, let me know and I will try and do a little tutorial for you.

I have a few more cards to show, so will schedule them over the next week or so

Hi all,

I am here this evening with my last post as a guest designer over on the Stamp Basket Blog.

Have you heard the news!!

Hi all,

So have you heard the news, there is a new arrival over on the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog today in the form of the new release :-

Oh Baby!!!!

Their are 12 adorable images in the new release & when Kerry asked me a while ago to guest for her on this release of course I said yes!!.

To celebrate the release LCI are having a month long challenge with the theme

Baby Baby

Now their isn't an actual hop (not if you dont want to) but over the course of the month each DT & GDT will be choosing 2 commentors each to win one of the new release images. So if you do want to pop over to each members blog and leave a comment you will be in with lots of chances of winning!!

So here is my card, I was given Baby Billies Pram to work with and - well it is just adorable!!

I chose to make a girl card, as Oliver's teacher's partner - who used to be Abbies teacher before she went on maternity leave have just had a gorgeous baby girl - Ava Lilly. So this card is for them off the kids.

I coloured the image with promarkers and used some beautiful papers from LOTV, added a few WOC flowers and lush polka dot organza ribbon.

Thanks for popping by my blog today, please pop back later to see my last GDT card for The Stamp Basket
