Barrow full of wishes - TG for Totally Gorjuss

Hi all,

Its the weekend so that means its time for a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss. This week our theme is

Spring

So we would like to see spring inspired creations, whether thats colours, flowers, easter etc we would love to see them. We are sponsered this week by the fabulous

So for my creation I have gone for a spring feel with plenty of flowers. The image I used I won a few weeks ago in a blog hop over on LCI challenge, the image is called Wheelbarrow Delight and trust me it was a delight to colour and use.

I have gone for one of those circular cards with this design and used the faux lace technique round the edge. I love how making a shaped card gives a completely different feel to your creation. The papers are MME Happier 6x6 pad and the fabby flowers are from WOC. The pins and flower gem were from the floristry warehouse.

I hope my creation has inspired you this week, please pop on over to the challenge blog, check out my team mates gorjuss creations and join in the fun with the challenge.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Brand New Challenge

Hi all,

Today I am very excited to be showing you my card made for a brand new Challenge Blog Milkcoffee Challenges!!!!  I was very kindly asked to join their DT a week or so ago, and have to tell you their images are just full of gorgeousness.

Last week I showed you a couple of cards made for the showcase on the Main Blog, and today see's the start of the new Challenge Blog. The challenges will run fortnightly at 3am GMT on a Thursday Morning, with a showcase of new designs on the Main Blog on the other Thursday.

For our first challenge we have left the theme really easy and have gone for

Anything Goes

Now you don't have to use a Milkcoffee image but we would sure love it if you do. If you pop on over to the Shop, you cant fail to find an image that you like. They have a fabulous selection of cute, whimsical designs and they are such a dream to print and colour.

Also if you pop on over to the Main Blog, you will find freebie images Here, Here, Here & Here so you have no excuse not to join in lol!!!!

Anyway onto my card, I have used a very sweet image called Heidi In the Midnight.  I decided to make an Easel Card and went for a Blue/Yellow combo.

Close up of Image

The papers are from the new Bouffle range by Papermanina, and the flowers from WOC as usual. A bit of Paper Cellar Raffia ribbon and some fabby dotty organza ribbon & gems to finish.

I give you my heart - DT for MMCS

Hi all

Its Wednesday again which means its that time of the week for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop.  It seems that you liked last weeks challenge of spring colours as we had a fair few of you join in with us, did you win the challenge? why not pop over and have a look.

Anyway onto this weeks challenge, with Mothers Day coming up this weekend we decided that this week our theme would be

For Mum/Special Lady

We are sponsered this week by the lovely

A Day for Daisies very kindly gave the DT a choice of images to work with for this challenge and I chose to use the very gorgeous Pansy Fairy.
Now although they haven't been posted on here yet, I have already made my Mothers Day cards. So for my creation I actually chose to make a little gift for my BFF, she is so good to me and looks after me all the while, nothing is too much trouble for her so she is my special lady for this challenge. (she has already received this little gift, and I have to tell you she loved it!!!!)

I brought the wicker heart for about £1 from a floristry warehouse and decided to give it a bit of a makeover.  I knew I had to use purple with this image, as the gorgeous fabby gingham ribbon was already  tied on the heart and I didn't want to change it. So I coloured the image with my purple promarkers and added a bit of stickles to her wings (a little tip, dont go OTT with stickles on a Digi Image they tend to bleed as you can see on one of my wings !!). I then dug deep into my flower boxes, but didn't have any purple flowers so I decided to give some white ones a bit of a makeover with one of the promarkers. The little sentiment was a freebie in a mag I brought earlier in the month and just went perfect with the colours and theme.

I hope you will pop on over to the blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations using these gorgeous images.

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Abigial in Print

Hii all,

I have no card to show you today, but I do have a picture of a very excited girl. A while ago I sent off a picture of Abbie and some cards she had made to Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine. Yesterday my copy came through the post and Abigail has been crowned this months Card Making Princess. She was so excited last night and has taken off with my mag today to show everyone at school lol!!!

The picture was actually taken last year when she was off school for 2 weeks with Chicken Pox, to keep her occupied I let her raid my crafty stash and these were what she came up with. Also as you can read in the text, when she was in hospital in Jan having her IV's we took stamped images and promarkers in with us to keep her amused.

This card below is one she made on Sunday, after spying some of my digi images on my desk ready to be coloured. This one she decided looked like her so she pinched it an made this card, which she made without any help from me at all.

Hope you like Abbie's card and thanks for popping by my blog today.

Double Dutch

Hi all,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the nice weather, I know we did, especially on Sunday when we spent most of the time out in the garden with the kids.
Anyway today I thought I would show you the cards I made with my classes last week. I taught them how to make the Double Dutch Style card that I saw over on SCS, although I did change the measurements to suit myself. (you will have seen a version of this card in an earlier post last week HERE)

The cards have been made using Greetings Farm images coloured with Promakers, DCWV papers and Petaloo Flowers. The sentiments are WRS cut out with Nesties. The inside of the cards have been decorated to match.

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Birthday Princess - DT for Totally Gorjuss

Hi all,

The weekend is finally here, hopefully we will have a very stress free & relaxing one (ie - no more bad news this week please!!!!)  So as its Saturday it can only mean its time for a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss, but before I announce the challenge I have a bit of news. I have been on the TG team for the last few months as a Guest Gorjussette, then last week the lovely Net who runs challenge asked me if I would like to stay on the team permanently - well there was only one answer to that question so I am now a full blown Gorjussette whoop whoop!!!!.

So anyway this weeks challlenge is a nice and easy one with a theme of

Anything Goes - With a little twist to add a button somewhere on your creation.

We are sponsered this week by the wonderful

Craft Supplies, Craft CDs & Tools for Card Making & Scrapbooking - Crafters Companion

So for my creation this week I used a fabulous image from the Swalk Collection called Little Princess, isnt she just an adorable little image. I chose to make my base card out of Acetate for something a little bit different and quite like how it turned out. (also I still had it on my desk after making the easel card lol!!!)

I coloured the image with my Polys for a softer look, I went mad for these and they cost hubby a fortune for the full set, but always seem to reach for my Promarkers so thought they desereved a little aring again. The fabby dotted paper is from a Kars pad and the flowers are a mix of WOC and some I picked up from the floristry warehouse along with the pins. I took the opportunity to make this card for Abbie who's birthday is on 1st April, and the little freebie sentiment was just perfect. I added a blingy Prima Swirl and 2 cute little buttons in the top LH corner to finish.

Well I hope you like my creation, please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates wonderful creations and take part in this very easy challenge.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Spring Colours - DT for MMCS

Hi all,

This week is turning out to be a bloomin horrible one, first the news with how long its going to be before I have my operation. Then yesterday at Abbies monthly review at the hospital she had lost more weight, her lung function was worse than when they admitted her for IV's in Jan & they are 99% sure she has CF related Diabetes which will mean insulin injections for the rest of her life as the CF diet obviously really contradics with a Diabetes diet!!!!! She will be fitted up to a glucose monitoring machine next week for 7 days and we have to keep a food diary of what she's eating and check her blood sugar levels 4 times a day so they can get a better picture of whats going on. (thats going to be fun pricking her finger to get the blood out that many times a day) Not!!!!!!!

Anyways Wednesday has come around and that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop, this week our theme is

Spring Colours

We are sponsered this week by the fabulous

Visit our Shop!

The Paper shelter were kind enough to give the DT some images to work with and I chose to use the fabulous image Spring Swing isn't she just gorgeous.

After being inspired by a card on Jacqui's blog I decided to make an Acetate Easel card. I coloured the image with promarkers and added the clouds with a cut out template and chalks. The papers are from Kars and are so so pretty, the lovely pastel pink, blue & lemon are just perfect spring like colours. I think I went a bit OTT with the flowers and bling but wanted a really pretty and girly feel to my card.

Please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations.

Operation News

Hi all,

Just a quick post to let you know the state of play with my Hysterectomy Operation, I have been back to see the consultant today and have been given my date for the operation. To be honest I am really fed up about it as its not till 30th May, the way he was talking last week after my Laparoscopy was that it would be very soon, but apparently that is soon for him as he is a very popular surgeon lol!!!!!!. So will be here with you all for a while yet, am a bit cheesed off that I have worked my socks off over the weekend trying to get all my March & April DT stuff done and scheduled but at least its out of the way. So maybe I might have time to try a few things out that I have been wanting to for a while (off my inspiration page) and concentrate on running my classes, and at least I can still go to my NKOTB (24/4) & Westlife (20/5) concerts and most importantly the craft show at the NEC whoop whoop!!!!!. Thanks for all you well wishes in your comments they are much appreciated.
