Fancy a cuppa

Hi all,

Well I am a bit late in posting today, have had a mare of a day really. Abbie has still not recovered properly from her bad chest over christmas and today we have spent most of the day at the hospital with her after being sent home with chest pains, so she was checked over and is now on her second lot of anitbiotics (stronger ones), steriods and a new inhaler. If they havent worked by when we go for a check up on 5th Feb, I could well mean a stay in hospital on IV's for a while so fingers crossed it doesnt come to that. Then to top it all off I have had to go to the doctors today after not feeling well since New Years Eve and I have a water infection so I am on antibiotics too!!!!!

Anyway, I am here to show you my card for the showcase over at Milkcoffee - our theme that we were given was - Lets brighten things up - So I made a very bright card using the fabby image Dragoo enjoys life.

The papers are from a gorgeous Tilda pad that I really didnt want to cut into, but went so well with the image. Just a couple of punched flowers and a bit of gingham ribbon to finish.

Thanks so much for popping by my blog, I am very very behind on my commenting at the moment but hoping to have a good ole catch up over the weekend. So I will be popping by your blogs shortly!!

Sweet Baby Girl

Hi all,

Its time for our first challenge of the year over at Pink Gem Designs, this fortnights challenge has been chosen by the lovely Donna and as its a new year our theme is

New Beginnings

So we would like to see your something new creations - new baby, new home, new job etc

So I took the easy option (i think) and made a new baby card, I dont tend to make these and then rush to make one when I need one. So I thought I might as well get one made in advance and can then personalise it when needed.

I used the gorgeous Digi Image - Baby Girl Bundle - which is on sale at the moment for just £1.13. The image had been cut out using SB Labels 1 & Decorative Lables 1 which are available in store for just £14.95 each. The papers are from one of the gorgeous LOTV pads and a few WOC flowers and beautiful organza ribbon to finish.

Please do pop on by the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabulous creations and join in with our challenge.

We are also having a DT Call over on the blog - we are looking for 2 new members to join our team. If you are interested pop on over to the blog for more details.

Thanks for popping by my blog today

Copy Cat

Hi all,

Today I have a cute little calendar to show you that I made after seeing the fabulous one created by my friend & team mate Heidi. I just loved the original one that Heidi made so much that I made them as presents for my SIL to pop on their desks at work.

Although Heidi kept hers in a two tone mono feel to it, I decided to make mine using the gorgeous new papers available from Trimcraft - Dovecraft, Back to Basics IV. - You will find Heidi's original card HERE.

Anyway here is my interpretation (copy lol!!!!!)

I didn't have a big flower stamp, so made my flowers using a Sizzix Die and cut out the different layers using the papers and various colours of card. A couple of punched butterflies and a few gems just to finish off

Love Shack & Exciting News

Hi all,

First today I have some exciting news that I have been wanting to share with you for a few weeks now. Last year I entered the Card Designer of the Year competition in Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine and just before Christmas was thrilled to find out I was one of the runners up, I have had to keep it a secret until the magazine was published.  I was so excited when I received the email as I nearly didn't enter and left it right up till the last before I sent my cards off, as I have entered a few in the past and never came anywhere.

Here is a pic of the magazine page and my cards that I entered.

Anyway onto the reason for todays post - Its time for a new challenge over at Milkcoffee and our theme this fortnight is a pretty obvious one being new year and all lol!!!

New Beginnings

So for my creation I chose to make a new home card and used this fabulous little funky image - Cute Shack - available in store along with lots of other fabulous designs.

I teamed the image with some gorgeous bright and funky papers from MME, and added a few flowers and some fabby dotty ribbon.

Please do pop on over to the Challenge Blog and check out my team mates fabby creations and join in the fun, the prize is 3 images of your choice.

Butterfly Garden

Hi all,

Happy 2013 to you all, hope the new year brings you all love, luck and happiness.

I was very lucky last year to be asked to design for some fantastic companies using their wonderful products,  and they were all so patient with me during the time of my operation and recouperation period. Hopefully this year I can continue to do them proud and keep up with all the new releases.

So today I start my new blog year off with the fabulous January Club Stamp from Little Claire - Cherish, Hugs, Dream is a beautiful whimsical stamp of flowers & butterflies. For just £8.99 you get the stamp set, full colour instructions and all materials needed to make a card and 2 more colour project instructions.

Don't forget whilst your in the club you also get 10% off every purchase and free delivery on all items.
So onto my cards.

I made these cute little calendars as teachers gifts for christmas - hopefully they liked them

I kept the design on this card very simple as I wanted the image to be the focus, some lovely bright papers from MME and a few embellies were all that was needed.

For this card I stamped the image in a pale grey ink instead of the usual black and love how it gives it more of a sketchy feel to the image. Again I kept the layout and papers very simple.

Thanks for popping by my blog today
