Happy Birthday

Hi all,

Popping on today with a cute Tiddly Inks card I made a while back. In class every so often I get them to do a sketch challenge and this is when they also get to do a bit of colouring as well rather than using a topper. This is the sample I made for them to follow.

I used one of the gorgeous Wyrn stamps and teamed her with some bright and funky MME papers. a few flowers and gems just to add a bit of decoration and a stamped sentiment cut into a banner shape.

Here's the sketch and measurements if you would like to have a go yourself

Exploding Surprise

Hi all,

Thought I'd show you today a recent class card that I have taught - from the front it looks like a normal Gatefold card but when you open it up you get a nice exploding surprise.

As you can see with my class cards we don't tend to decorate much and the emphasis is on the actual folding technique of the card. So just a few flowers were added to the front of these cards.

They went down really well and my ladies enjoyed making these.

I have popped the instructions on how to make these over on my Tutorial Blog

The folded page

Hi all,

Thought I'd show you a little something different today, one of the other things I am into at the moment is book folding.

These 2 were done as gifts one as a wedding present and one for a special lady celebrating her 50th birthday.

They do take up a fair bit of time measuring, marking and then folding but I do love the end result and you get something really rather special from an old book that would otherwise have been sent for recycling.

Box in a Bag

Hi all,

Hope you're not getting fed up of seeing my Santoro Willow makes - as I have another one to show you today.

Todays creation is a Box in Bag, which is technically a paper bag with a box in the bottom. Just perfect for holding a small gift and this is one is going to hold a gift for one of madams teachers.

The base of the bag has been made from a 12cm sq piece of card, scored all the way round at 2,5cm to give a box of 7cm sq. A piece of 12 x 12 has been secured to the sides of the box and taped together along the join. The gorgeous image is a Chipboard topper and I a layer up a couple of the larg blooms behind it. A couple of flowers cut out from FE dies and lots of little extra embellishments to decorate. To close the bag I have used a bulldog clip decorated with ribbon bow.

Fold over Pocket Card

Hi all,

Back today with another card using the Santoro Willow collection from Trimcraft.

I am really into making cards with pockets and tags at the moment and this is one that I taught in my class last week.

The card is a wallet style with a pocket inside that holds a tag.

I love how this card opens up to reveal the pocket holding a cute little tag. The image on the front is a topper and the image and scalloped mat on the tag have been cut out from the packaging of the pins. I used a selection of FE dies for the flowers, doiley, tags and swirly bits and one of the gorgeous border dies to decorate the pocket.

Aurora Blooms

Hi all,

I have a simple quick card to show you today again using the gorgeous Santoro Willow collection from Trimcraft.

I made a sweet little card 12.5cm x 11.5cm by cutting down one of the 5 x 7 kraft cards.

I layered up some of the gorgeous papers and spritzed them with some purple spray to tie in the fabulous purple blooms layered up behind the topper. A few embellishments were added just to finish off. On the inside of the card I stamped the same image as the topper in the bottom corner and spritzed with the purple spray just to tie it all together.

Concertina Tag Card

Hi all,

Popping on today with another Santoro Willow from Trimcraft card - I am loving playing with this collection at the moment and have a few more cards to show over the next couple of days.

For this card I have taken an A4 sheet of card, folded into 4 and then created a pocket at the bottom to hold tags.

If you have any items from this collection you will notice that the packaging is absoulutely gorgeous. I have taken advantage of this and have die cut all the toppers and their scalloped mats from the packaging of the clear stamps. I've added decoration across the pockets and tags using one of the gorgeous border dies and added a selection of die cut the flowers.

Double Card

Hi all,

Back today with another card made using the gorgeous Santoro Willow collection from Trimcraft.

Todays card is basically a card inside a card - I have taken a 5x7 card and trimmed a diagonal section off and then added another card trimmed to 10cm wide to the inside. I think it gives an effective look.

I have gone to town decorating this card - to be honest all the embellishments are so bloomin gorgeous I have been having to tell myself to put the embellishments down and step away from the card lol.

If you would like a full step by step guide and full product listing for this card you will find it HERE

Sugar & Spice

Hi all,

Popping on today to show you a cute little baby girl card I made using the adorable Tiny Tatty Ted range available from Trimcraft

The design is a quarter fold card with cut outs, with another little folded card slotted in.

I used the 6x6 paper pad & all the images have been cut out from one of the papers in the pack.

A space on the back to write a greeting and tied together with some fabby polka dot organza ribbon - too cute!!

Mirror mirror

Hi all,

Thought I'd share with you today an upcyled project. For ages I have had an Ikea mirror sitting in my alterable draw and never done anything with it. In my Trimcraft DT kit I was sent some gorgeous decoupage papers and so the inspiration struck.

The frame was white so I didn't have to do anything to it to start with, I covered it all in the torn bits of the decoupage paper and then I cut out the gorgeous lady image from the packaging and added it to the RH side. On the bottom LH side I added a selection of blooms, a feather and wooden bird and them added buttons & cogs randomly across the frame.

I totally love how its turned out.

Tea Cup wishes

Hi all,

Thought I'd pop on and share Gorjuss card with you today - whilst in hospital with madam we took a selection of the Gorjuss items in with us to keep us occupied and this is one of the cards I made.

I kept a very simple layout using the papers and toppers from the A4 collection kit- the fancy piece is actually cut from one of the cards in Card Kit and finished off with acute box and flowers.

Twisted Willow

Hi all,

Today I want to share with you a Twisted Easel card I have made using the fabulous new Santoro Willow range from Trimcraft. Oh my if you have not seen this range yet you are missing out. The artwork is stunning and there are so many gorgeous embellishments within the collection to choose from - you wont know what to choose first.

I decided this card needed to be a kitchen sink kinda card and so used and array of embellishments from the collection - large blooms, wooden buttons & shapes, those gorgeous peacock feathers, metalic pins & sentiment tags and the fabby shiny sequins.

I made a Twisted Easel to help showcase the gorgeous image - the card design itself so simple but looks stunning when decorated up.
