Birthday Bloom

Hi all,

I have a box of cards that are half finished, and some class cards that just need a few extras to be added to them, and I am fed up of them hanging around taking up space. So I have spent the afternoon finishing them off and bagging them up to hopefully sell!!.

This card was one I did ages ago in class and is called an Upright Z Fold Card (I have a tutorial HERE, although it is pretty straight forward), the card base was done and decorated but was missing an image (as sometimes if one of my girls makes a big mistake I give them my bits & pieces so they can finish their card- then I never get round to finishing mine off lol!!!). The image I found off another half finished card which I didn't like, so decided to combine the 2 and add a few flowers & sentiment to complete.

I love this sweet La La Land image Marci with Flower coloured her with my promarkers and the papers I think are a Trimcraft First Edition pad. The flowers are from WOC and just a little bow with some gorgeous organza ribbon to finish.

Domino Crafting

Hi all,

Thought I would pop on today and show you my new creation that I have made trying out something new.

One of my crafty friends' showed me a gorgeous item she had made in a class by altering a domino - I loved it and just had to have a go myself. So after popping along to one of the most fabulous shops I have been to in a long time (I think jewellery making may well be my next hobby/obsession lol!!!!) I got all the bits and pieces I needed and came up with this.

So I started off with a cheap pack of dominoes and drilled a small hole in the top, I then coloured the domino using 3 different alcohol inks and when dry stamped my image with Stazon. I used a bit of Glossy Accents on top just to seal it all. While all that was drying I made the chain and added all the little pearls, charm and clasp. It was a bit fiddly opening and closing the tiny jump rings but I really enjoyed it and think I could well be making a few more, especially for teachers gifts next month etc

Congratulations

Hi all,

Its been a while but I finally have a card for you today. My BFF asked me for an Engagement card for someone she works with, so I dug out this gorgeous Hobby House Topper and some pretty lilac papers and came up with this.

I added lots of lovely embellies to the card, inc my fave pretty feathers and fancy buttons.

I have had a massive sort out of my craft cupboard and found lots of lovely things I had forgotten about, inc lots of stamps that have never seen ink - so am putting myself on a bit of a stash ban for the next few months as I really need to use some of these things up. Although I have been lead astray by a couple of crafty friends and am branching out a little into something other than cards - I have taken a piccy of my first item so will pop that on for you to see soon.

Box in a Bag

Hi all,

Well not really done any crafting again, have been purchasing new items, looking at them, stroking them etc but cant seem to get round to using them - although I have been working on a comparision chart for Promarkers/Copics as I noticed a lot of tutorials seem to have copic colours listed so I am trying to do a like for like chart so I can just cross reference.

So thought I'd show another class make - Box in a Bag which I found the tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers, the girls loved doing these and they are relatively easy to make.

Pretty Blossom

Hi all,

So I told you other day that I had finally made a card, well I got round to taking the pic and here it is!!.

Its only taken a few weeks but I have managed to give myself a kick up the bum and get crafting. I have to admit though it took me ages to do this card as to start with I felt like I was forcing myself, but as I got into it I found myself enjoying it again lol.

I used an adorable Wee Stamps image (I used the digi but it does come as a stamp too) and teamed her with some gorgeous MME papers - Collectable Memorable and added lots of lovely WOC flowers. The image was matted onto a doiley and I added a pretty feather behind, finished off with some fabby gingham ribbon and pearl swirl.

So we are finally back to normal here today, the kids have gone back to school and I am back to doing my classes. It will be great to get back into a routine again, although I am not sure about the early morning get ups lol!!!. Abbie is doing really well and seems to have loads more energy so looks like the meds have done her good, will see how she gets on after a full day of school today though.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Interlocking Circles

Hi all,

We have had an up and down week and have been back in hospital again!!! as the cannula did not last (as we knew it wouldn't) so had to go back and have another new one fitted. Unfortunately her little veins did not seem to want to take anymore and the meds were causing her a lot of pain as they were going in. In the end she was having to have gas & air as pain relief just so they could put the meds through. Finally her consultant has decided not to put her through any more stress and said that being as she had had 10 days of meds with her lung function up to 89% from 56% enough was enough and had it taken out and we are home for good this time.

Anyway I have another couple of class cards to show you again today - although I have actually made a card today yay!!!! just need to get a pic took and then I can show you.

These were done a few weeks ago and and are called Interlocking Circle Cards - the two frames are stuck to each door and slot into each other to close the card.

The papers are Trimcraft Floral Pavillion & New Bloom (my faves at the mo!!) All the circles were cut using Nesties and I used a TH rosette die to create the rosette.
