Hi all,
Thought I would pop on today and show you another of the calendars I made as gifts for the teachers. This one uses another Emerald Fairie digi image that I coloured up when I was making my DT card for MMCS last week.
I have used more pastel papers on this one and added lots of pretty roses. The image has been coloured using promarkers and I have added a couple of punched butterflies to finish.
promarkers used
Hair - Cinammon, Tan, Satin
Face - Tan, Dusky Pink, Satin
Tights/Hat - Olive Green, Pear Green, Lime Green
Top - Antique Pink, Rose Pink, Cocktail Pink
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Winter Fairy
Hi all,
The weekend is here and the kids are driving me crazy to put the Christmas Decs up as our neighbour has been putting hers up this week. I am trying to fob them off till next week but not sure how long I will hold off for especially as hubby wants them up too lol!!!
Anyway today we see a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week the theme is
Sparkle
We are very lucky this week to be sponsered by Sylvia Zet at
Sylvia was also very generous and gave the DT a choice of image to work with. I chose the gorgeous Winter Fairy which you can find HERE, isn't she just so sweet.
So this week instead of a card I decided to make a little tea light holder which I found a fab tutorial for HERE. I then realised that I wouldn't be able to put a proper tea light in obviously cause its made of card!!, so a trip to my local Hobbycraft and I found some fabby little LED candle shaped tea lights perfect!!
Basically the box itself is 10cm square with 1.5cm tabs on and 2 x 10cm pieces of card for the base - 1 on the inside and 1 on the outside. I die cut an aperture out of each side and placed some acetate embossed with a swirly embossing folder in it. The flowers were made with my new Marrianne poinsetta die and I edged them with Stickles to make them sparkle. Then added a couple of Sizzix Swirls behind them. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I have added Stickles to her wings and white Flowersoft to the trim on her coat and boots to give them a bit of texture. I have been wanting to do a WOW (white on white) creation for ages now so took the opportunity with this and have to say am very pleased with how it came out and it looks much better and sparkly IRL.
Promakers used
Hair/Robin - Henna, Cinnamon, Tan
Face - Tan, Dusky Pink, Satin
Coat/Boots - China Blue, Denim Blue, Pastel Blue - Rose Pink, Blossom
Holly - Berry Red, Cardinal - Olive Green, Pear Green
And a piccy of it in the dark with the candle lit (turned on lol!!!!)
Please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates gorgeous creations.
I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges.
My Sheri Crafts - Xmas Decoration
One Stop Craft - Christmas Fairies
Cardmad Fairy's Digi Days - Winter Wonderland (must use digi)
Crafts 4 Eternity - Christmas Decoration
Fairy Tale - Christmas
Totally Papercrafts - Christmas

Present Stack
Hi all,
Just a quick post from me today as I am still feeling a bit quesy after having a very nasty tummy bug yesterday. Apparently is going through the kids school like wildfire and after Abbie having it over the weekend yesterday me, Hubby and Oli had it in some form or other.
So just wanted to show you a quick christmas card I made using a faby LOTV topper and some free papers I got from Cardmaking & Papercraft Mag.
Very plain and simple layout with a bit of ribbon and a couple of snowflakes to finish.
Please pop back tomorrow to see my creation for the new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss.
Thanks for popping by my blog today

Ladybug Friend
Hi all,
Well the middle of the week is here again, so that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop and this week the theme is :-
Winged Things
We want to see things with wings on your creations - so anything from Fairies, Butterflies, Birds etc
We are sponsered this week by
The DT were very kindly given some fabulous digi images to work with and I chose to use the sweet Ally & Beeble image which you can find HERE.
With christmas coming up and thinking about teachers gifts I decided to make some little wall hanging calendars. Abbie has 1 male and 2 female teaching assistants in her class and Oli has 1 male and 1 female teaching assistant in his. So I have decided for christmas to only buy the teachers a gift and give these calendars to the female teaching assistants, otherwise it would cost me a fortune. I am only showing you the one today, the others I will save for later in the week.
I wanted quite a bright look and feel to this one, so I chose some papers from the Echo Park - AWalk in the Park pad and coloured my image with Promarkers to match. The sky was done with a cloud template and chalk. I used my fave NS punch (again!!!) for the flowers, MS butterfly punch and added a few gems to finish. The base of the calendar is a 6x6 scalloped square chipboard shape from Papermania.
I hope you like my creation, please do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out my team mates fabby creations.
Thanks for popping by my blog today, your comments are always appreciated.

Christmas
Hi all,
As promised I have a couple of cards to show you today that I made for Trimcraft using one of their decoupage pads from Helz Cuppleditch. All the images and most of the papers are glittered and they all co-ordinate perfectly. Making cards very quick & easy to put together, just what you need when you are making a few.
I kept the layouts simple and didnt use too many embellies. I used a MS snowflake and Border punch, the charm was from a bundle I purchased off Ebay and the ribbon and pearl snowflakes were from Hobbycraft.
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Hello
Hi all,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I had fabulous Friday night - first we went out for a meal with my cousin for her birthday and had some delishious food, then I dropped the kids off round my friends and while her hubby babysat we went to see the new Twilight film at the cinema. OMG it was fantastic and well worth the wait loved it so much - Team Edward!!!!! so lush!!.
Sat I then had a rather productive day in the house - did all the washing and ironing and cleaned from top to bottom, thinking that I could then have a full day of crafting on Sun. Unfortunately this was not too be poor Abbie had me up most of the night with sickness, it was that bad I have had to throw away my quilt and pillows and get new ones on Sunday. In the end we had gone through all my spare sheets, the quilt and pillows were soaked through and we were sleeping on a bare mattress with Transfomer & Hello Kitty fleeces over us. Then yesterday still not feeling well she was very clingy so sat mostly on the sofa with her on my lap, we are keeping her off school today just to be on the safe side, luckily Rich is off work for the next couple of days and so her can look after her today while I teach class.
Anyway a while ago we were given some free images from Heather Ellis for a challenge over at MMCS, when I was originally making my card I coloured up 2 images as I couldn't decide which one to use. So todays card uses the image I coloured and didn't use. I have teamed her with some fabby MME papers and kept the design quite simple with just a bit of ribbon and a couple of punched flowers to finish. The tag sentiment is from Little Claire which I got from the NEC, they are so cute.
I cant seem to get a decent pic at the moment, and I have noticed that my pictures seem to have a yellow tinge at the bottom. Think my camera is on the way out but its a fair few years old so cant complain, hubby has offered to get me a new one for xmas so have been looking at a few online yesterday. I think I have finally made my mind up which one I want after looking at all the features - but guess what was the most important feature ----------------------- yes I want a pink one lol!!! Rich was just rolling his eyes at me everytime he saw a good one and I was like yeah!! but its not pink.
Have you noticed I also got a bit technical over the weekend and created me a pretty new watermark in Paint.Net. Couldn't believe how easy it was really and don't know why I haven't done it before lol!!
Anyway after I have bored you silly thanks for popping by my blog today, will be back tomorrow with a couple of christmas cards I have made as samples for Trimcraft.

Swirly Whirly
Hi all,
**For some reason Mr Blogger is being very naughty with me, all the posts that I schedule suddenly change to draft after I have scheduled them and don't post, This post should have come up yesterday **
So today we have a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss and this week the theme is
Swirly Whirly
We would like to see lots of swirls, whirls, flourishes and pretty things etc on your creations
We are sponsered by the fabulous
So for my card I decided to go all out girly, and what better image to choose than a gorgeous Magnolia image. I went for a lemon & blue colour combo and took inspiration from the likes of Tab & Kim who always make the most fabulous Magnolia creations. I made a sweet little step card as I thought it would be perfect to add lots of embellies and in the end had to tell myself to step away from the flowers lol!!!
The image has been coloured with my Poly's for a softer look and all the flowers are from WOC. The swirls are Marianne dies, MS butterfly punches and a Tim Holtz ticket sentiment.
I hope you like my card, please pop on over to the challenge blog to see my team mates fabulous creations.
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Fairytale Princess
Hi all,
Hope you all have sunshine this morning, although a bit chilly here the sun is shining beautifully through my window a lot better than yesterday drery day. I dont know about you but I always feel more cheerful when the sun is out!!
Anyway I thought I would show you some samples today that I have made for Trimcraft, I was sent some products from their new princess Fairytale range to work with and its is lovely. The colour palete is pastel pinks, blues, greens and peaches with some beautiful designs of papers. The gorgeous decoupage pad is all pre glittered and their are some fabby cute little stamps, sitckers, flowers and gems, all beautifully co-ordinated to match.
I tried to do something a bit different with my cards and so made a Side Stepper and a Cut Out Easel card, which look fab and a bit different but are very easy to make.
I have used the decoupage pad, 6x6 papers and blossoms for these cards and as there was no stamping involved the cards came togeher pretty quickly. The designs are prefect for any little princess and Abbie was quick to stake her claim on the cards when she came in from school yesterday.
I have included the diagrams below with all the measurements in case you are interested in having a go yourself.
For the Cut Out Easel card I have used a 14.5cm sq card blank as my base, and for the Side Stepper card I have used an A5 card blank as my base.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, will be back tomorrow hopefully with a christmas creation.

Sweet and Sassy
Hi all,
Well its Wednesday again and so that means its time for a new challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop. This week our theme is :-
Mix & Match
We want to see you mix and match those designer papers on your card, no taking the easy option of co-ordinating papers from the same the pad.
This weeks sponser is the fabulous
And Elisabeth has offered the prize of 2 Digi images of your choice.
Now I have to admit I didnt like this challenge one little bit at all, when I make a card I like to use papers from the same the pad. That way all the colours, texture, patterns, thickness match and it makes it easy to put your card together, however I suppose we all need to move away from our comfort zone every now and then!!!.
So I chose my image first, knowing who our sponser was and being as I didnt have any of her digi images I decided to use one of my fave stamps from her Sweet Art Ebony range called Sweet & Sassy. I have had her for ages and orginally got her from Sugar Nellie/Funky Kits she was one of my first SN stamps. Then I sat there and spent ages trying to match papers together and eventually I was happy with what I had chosen.
My checked paper is from MME Stella & Rose- Gertie, Flowery paper is Basic Grey - Green at Heart & the stripy paper is First Edition - Love Letters. I added a bit of flowery ribbon and some flowers made using my new fave punches from Nellie Snellen, Craftwork Cards fancy sentiment and pearls to finish.
Well I hope you like my creation, do pop on over to the challenge blog and join in with this weeks challenge and also check out my team mates fabulous creations too - I dont know if that have had as much trouble as me with this challange, I hope not!!.
Thanks for popping by my blog today

Christmas Surprise
Hi all,
Well I have christmas card for you today, and I have used a fabulous collection from Craftwork Cards called Frosty and Friends. I do like how the colours are nice and pastel and not traditonal, I was quite pleased with the last one I made using the collection and sent it off to Julie at Craftwork Cards and this week it has been featured on their blog (so quite chuffed about that). I dont know about you but I struggle to make christmas cards and have to say they are not my fave cards to make, I would much rather be making something sweet and girly and using pretty flowers and ribbon. I dont tend to buy much christmas stamps and papers either due to their limited use I feel they are a bit of a waste of money, I have a load to make though so I suppose I must struggle through lol!!
The image just needed a bit of colour with some promarkers and I matted all the papers with kraft to mat them stand out. A bit of ribbon and a few snowflakes to finish.
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Prom Princess
Hi all,
Hope you have all had a lovely day, we had the kids off today for a teacher traning day. As a treat we have been to the cinema to see Arthur Christmas, I felt it was a bit early to see this film but the kids really wanted to go. Anway the film was fab and a definate must see for any kid before christmas.
Thought I would pop on today and show you the 18th Card I made for my friends daughter. The image I have used is another Sassy Studio image and she is called Prom Chrissy. I had an outline to work with and was asked for certian colours and a certain style of image, I hope I pulled it off.
Again the card is an 8x8 so a larger card than what I usually work with, so I made the digi image a bit larger and coloured her with promarkers. The reason for the red hair is that Jodie has lovely red hair and I think I almost got the colour right!!
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Come along for the ride
Hi all,
Whoop Whoop!!! its Saturday which means I didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn to do Abbies physio and meds before school, so prob had a little lie in with the kids. I have scheduled this post just in case I do get my lie in lol!!!.
We have a new challenge for over at Totally Gorjuss and this week our challenge is
Chritsmas Tradtions
We would like to see anything to do with a Christmas Tradtion/ Traditional Christmas Theme on your creations and we are sponsered this week by the fabulous
Crafters Companion
So this got me thinking about what we do at christmas/in the winter, now in our house the kids have only got to see a bit of snow and they want to go outside and build a snowman and also take their sledges to the bank/hill just round the corner. Its normally packed with kids sledging down and a few adults too may I add!!!!. When the snow gets too bad we also pull them along the street to school in the sledges too, loads of fun for them for us not too much, but at least they dont slip and slide and fall over on the ice and snow.
Well then I remembered that I had a gorgeous stamp that came free with a magazine and not only was the image just prefect for what I needed, its also a Crafters Companion stamp and so fits in with this weeks challenge perfectly.
The image is a cute little Humpreys Corner stamp, and doesnt he look sweet pulling his little toys along on his sledge in the snow. I teamed him with some tradtional christmas coloured papers and added a few snowflakes to finish. Although the stamp looks quite detailed it was lovely to colour and I was really pleased with the results.
Well hope you like my card, do pop on over to the challenge blog to check out my team mates creations as they have made some fabby things and not all cards either - well worth a look.
Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Ooops I fell in!!!!
Hi all,
Hope you are all well and keeping warm, now that the weather seems to have turned a little colder. I cant believe its Friday already, this week has just flown by. After a manic weekend last week I am looking forward to a very relaxing one this week and have nothing planned at all. We have promised the kids a family night on sat and have got a film lined up, plenty of games and I got lots of goodies to nibble on from Asda when I went shopping.
Anyway onto my card, my friend asked me to make a 21st and 18th card for her daughter and her friends daughter who are having a join party next week. Unfortunately we cant go as Rich is at work and also I have family meal with my cousin, then later on am off to get my Edward fix at the cinema.
I wanted to make the cards a bit more grown up and not cutesy, when I remembered some images I won in a challenge. They are from Sassy Studio and the couple I chose were just prefect for what I wanted. The image in this card is called Martini Pin Up and isnt she a sassy little minx lol!!!. I printed her off quite large as the card I did was and 8x8 and coloured her with promarkers (thanks to all who left tips on using digi images). The papers are from Crate Paper and looked quite funky so went with that colour scheme.
The picture is not great sorry!! (seems a bit fuzzy/soft), but dont have the card now to take another as Rich delivered it for me last night.
I have decorated the inside to match as well, which I found also gave the back of the card a bit more strenght, as being quite large was a bit front heavy. Apparently my friend loved it and I am just in the middle of making the 18th one now (as thats not wanted till monday).
So thanks for popping by my blog today, I will be back soon with a pic of the 18th one, and dont forget to pop back tomorrow to see my card for this weeks Totally Gorjuss Challenge.

Sitting Pretty
Hi all
Its that time of the week again for another challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop. The theme this week is :-
Sugar & Spice - and all things nice
We also have a fantastic sponser this week, the fabulous Krista Smith has generously agreed to sponser us.
Krista also very kindly gave the DT a choice of a free image to use on their card and I chose the gorgeous Tressa Princess which you can fnd HERE and I have coloured her with promarkers. I have teamed her with some candy coloured MME papers, Nellie Snellen punches were used for the flowers and some gorge organza ribbon and pearls. All items on this card were made using my new stash I got from the NEC.
Although I got mine from the NEC, you can find the papers at MMCS HERE they are called Happier by My minds Eye, and the Pearls you can find HERE and are from the Prima E-Line range.
Now I have been really struggling to use Digi Images as my printer is not promarker friendly and I have been getting a few smuges with my colouring especially on the paler colours. Anyway today I tried spraying the image with some hairspray first as I have heard that this does the trick, now I wont say its worked perfectly but its certainly made it much better. So if anyone have any other tips I could try I would be extremely greatful.
