Handbag Nikki

It is my moms birthday today and being as the lovely Kerry and her team are having a Blog hop (see side bar for info), I though it would be appropriate to use one of her stamps for the card.

I have used the fabulous Handbag Nikki which is very appropriate for her as she is always buying handbags and shoes, and coloured her with Promakers. The papers are Funky Vintage from Dovecraft and ribbon & flowers were from my stash.

Thanks for popping by today

Need help - Where can I find?

Hi All,

Not on here to post a card today, but I need your help. I want to make the kids one of those wooden advent calendars for chirstmas.
Do you know where I can get one of those plain wooden boxes with all the little drawers or doors in.
I have been scouring the net and have only found 1 which was £25, is this about right?

Thanks in advance

Hi All,

Thought I would sare a little card with you that I have made for my niece's birthday on Tuesday. I have used a new stamp set from Pergamano called Summer Fairies and they are just so cute, just look at her sitting there having a conversation with a little fairy frog!!.

I have also followed a sketch from somewhere with this card, but cant remember where now- will have a little looksie and try and find the challenge.

I have coloured her with Polys and the papers are My Minds Eye-Penny Lane, flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts, Craftwork Cards sentiment and the tulle and pin are from my shop.

Also I would like to give a mention to the fabulous Kerry and her team of lovely ladybugs who are having their first eva blog hop on Tue, so why not pop over and join in the fun I know I will !!

Thanks for scootin by my blog today.

How does your garden grow?

If your anything like me not like Mary Mary Quite Contrary's !!!! I am rubbish with plants, but this little lady seems to be doing ok.

I have been having a play with my new Sugar Nellie Stamps today and this card is what I came up with. Since I have used a Sugar Nellie I have made the card using the fab Sketch over on the Sugar Bowl.

I have coloured the gorgeous little image with Poly's, the papers are Basic Grey Kioshi and the flowers are creative connections. The buttons & pearls are from stash and the blingy butterfly is from a floristry warehouse.

We had an ok day today at Birmingham, all the results seemed to be good. Abbie has put on weight, grown a bit and the consultant said her x-rays looked good. Madam however was very uncooperative, and at one point managed to smack me right in the mouth with a toy and split my lip (they were sticking a needle in her arm at the time though !!!!). Just got to wait for blood & cough swab results now and see what they come up with so fingers crossed.

Thanks for popping by today, your comments are always appreciated.

Barefooted Babe & Abbie update

Hi All,

Back again tonight with another quick card. The image is another of my uninked stamps that I purchased a while ago, in fact I have recently found quite a few that I forgot I had. We had a bit of a stamp swap in class the other week and my ladies found quite a few bits of new rubber (shame on me!!!).

The image is a Greeting Farm, Papers are Wild Rose Studio-spring fling, flowers are all Prima with Papermania pearl brads (told you I wouldnt be able to resist flowers for long). Craftwork Cards sentiment and the ribbon, button and pins are all from the haberdashery bit of my shop.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your lovely comments about my previous 2 cards and for all your queries about Abbie. She is doing extremely well at the moment (I say will all fingers crossed) she has had a bout of chicken pox over the holidays but has taken it all in her stride and wasnt too bad with it at all. All in all we have had a good couple of months with her, with just a few sniffles here and there. However we are at Birmingham Childrens this Wed coming for her annual MOT so just keeping everything crossed that nothing shows up on x-rays or bloods etc. Its very rare that we leave from there without some sort of bad news so we will just wait and say, maybe lucky this time.

Anyway thanks for popping by my blog today, your comments really do mean a lot.

Anyone fancy a cupcake or three?

Hi all,

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments about my previous card. It really did take some effort to make it but it was great getting back into things.

This card is another simple one, but I do admit I am liking the less is more style. How long it will last I dont know cause I do love my flowers and things.

The image is from Tidlyinks and is coloured with polys, paper is from the Kioshi Basic Grey collection and the twill and button were from my shop.

Thanks for popping by today, am hoping to have some time over the weekend to have a good catch up with everyone. I really have missed looking at all your gorgeous creations.

Hi all,

I know its been a while, but I decided to have a little break from blogging and crafting!!! for a bit. Things got a bit hetic here with the shop, Abbie and life in general and basically I got to the point where I couldn't be bothered to do anything crafty apart from stuff for the shop. I think sometimes life has its little ways of telling you to slow down and something had to give and for me it was the crafting for a while. Unfortunately for me I think my mojo went off on one too and still hasn't returned so I am taking it easy and have made a couple of simple cards for starters.

I love this cute image of Thomas from LOTV, I actually got him at the NEC in March and this was the first time he had seen ink. I have coloured him with polys and added just a few gems and a bit of ribbon as my embellies (told you it was quite simple).

Anyway hope to be back posting regularly on here soon, and thanks for popping by after so long.
