Wild Rose meets Papertake

As promised here is my second card. As I mentioned earlier I recieved my box of fabulous Wild Rose Studio Stamps & Papers. I did pinch a couple of stamps to bring home & it was so hard choosing which ones as I love them all. In the end I choose 2 from each collection so I could make some samples with them.

This card uses one from the brand new range called Milton & Co. The stamp chosen is called Gardening Millie isnt she just darling!!!!. I followed the sketch over on Papertake Weekly and made an easel card to show off the fabby papers which are again from wild Rose Studio.

Stamp - Wild Rose Studio - CL060 Gardening Millie
Papers - Wild Rose Studio - PP002 Candy Floss/ PP001 Polka Dots
Flowers - Petaloo

* All items are available in store at LORA Crafts

Also I found out earlier that I had won last weeks challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend. I hadnt realised that I had won (checking through blog challenges was not at the top of my to do list lask week) but the lovely Kimmie left me a comment to tell me. So thanks Kimmie it really made my day, All I have to do now is choose some fabulous goodies from Simon Says Stamp. How lucky am I !!!!!!

Sketch Saturday

Hi All,

Things are starting to get back to normal here now and I had a great day out at the Trade Show at the NEC on Sunday. Ordered loads of new stuff in for the shop inlcuding some new Wild Rose Studio Stamps and Papers. I couldnt believe it when they turned up yesterday, so last night after the kids had gone to bed I made a couple of samples using the new stuff. This card was made using the new Milton & Co 6 x 6 paper pack and one of the New Sugar Nellies (Raven)which I managed to get into stock last week. The sketch follows the fab sketch over on Sketch Saturday only when I had finished it I realised I had put the sentiment on in the wrong place.

Papers - Wild Rose Studio 6x6 Milton & Co

Stamp - Sugar Nellie Raven

Flowers - Petaloo

Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

Gems/Brads - Papermania

* All the above items are available from LORA Crafts

Will back later with another sample, am off to work now to teach a class.

Bad news at hospital

We took Abbie for a check up at Birmingham Childrens yesterday, and the news we received was not good. We had been expecting something as she has been quite unwell since before chirstmas. She had lost weight instead of putting it on and not grown as much as they would have expected. They also told us that there was something of concern on her x-rays and in her blood results. They have changed a lot of her medication to stronger stuff and have also put her on steriods to help improve her lungs (these we believe will now be for quite a while) as they told us they seemed moist?. We have then also been told this morning that the Psuedomonas has returned for a 3rd time and unfortunately it is 3rd unlucky in this case. She has been put on strong antibiotics and she is now back on the nebulizer which we have now been told is for life. its been quite hard for us to take in all this news today as it means that she is worse than what we originally thought and have spent all day consulting family members and tears have been spilt. My head is in a complete mess, so please forgive me is my posting or commenting dwindles in the next days/weeks.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

I have had this image coloured for a while now, when I was practising with my polychromos. I didnt come out too bad so I thought I would use it today for the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl. Its a fabulous sketch with lots of lovely layers and a must include option of 3 Flowers, 2 Brads & 1 Button.

I have poped all the layers up on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

Well Done

This is a card that I made for Abbie's teacher who is leaving today to take up a post in another nursery. I thought I would make her a congrats card rather than a leaving card, so I chose the sentiment Well Done!!! (on getting a new job).

Abbie has been off nursery this week, she is a bit poorly again at the moment and we are waiting for some results to come back to determine treatment. So Rich took her up school for a bit this morning so she could give her a present and say goodbye.

Fabulous Purple

Its my stepmoms best friends 50th birthday next week, she asked me to make her a special card that was not over the top girly. Her friend is very fashion consious and loves shopping, so I chose this fabulous trio of Anya's and went for the colour purple.

Sweet 16

My Niece is 16 on Thursday and I wanted to make her a special card. So I chose to do a criss cross card with pull out tag featuring a gorgeous FF bear. I am entering this into the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday which is BLOOMING GORGEOUS, I think I have enough flowers on the card to enter. I am also entering it into the Forever Friends Challenge which is inside/outside, with my decorated inside being the little pull out tag.
