Hi everyone,
Just wanted to pop a quick post on to explain my absence. I have been having major internet problems and some days can harly manage a connection. Also Abbie has been having problems with her stomach again, it seems as soon as she stopes taking the medication it starts back up again. Her consultant thinks it may have to become one of her daily meds now. Its such a shame for her really, she has only started nursey after the easter hols and already she has had more days off than she has attended. We are also off on our hols on fri, we are going to butlins in skegness. We have been very fortunate to have had it paid for us from a charity called Dream Holidays who send families with a child with CF on holiday. We let Oli choose where to go as sometimes he feels a bit left out with the attention Abbie has to have, so he thought it was great that he got to make an important decision. I probably wont be posting on her now until june, I am off on a blog hop now while I have a connection to catch up on everything I have missed. If I dont get round to you today I will pop by after my hols.
I would also like to say a great big thank you to those who have sent Abbie a card, and some of you a gift. She has really enjoyed opening them and has been very exctited with all the attention.

Sugar Bowl Sketch
This 4th and final card for tonight has been made following the fabby sketch over on the Sugar Bowl Challenge, and must include buttons and a sugar nellie image (obviously). I have made the card for my sister-in-law this time off the kids, can you see a theme with the images - yes my SIL loves to shop (we have so much in common lol!!!!!!). I have added a little extra piece to the sketch cause I needed to add a sentiment (hope this is ok) and have popped 2 little square buttons on the top LH side.
The image is Shopaholic from Sugar Nellie, papers are Basic Grey and are a mixture of Lime Rickey & Whisteria, Papermania pearl gems & dotty brad, Flower is a mixture of Poppicrafts & Petaloo Mullberry Street, Computer generated sentiment.

Stampactular Sketch
This second card tonight is again for my sisters partner, but this time off hubby and me. I found the perfect image in box which is a cute PB image called Bubbly (I think) which I received in a swap. The image is perfect for Ste as we are always on at him for the amount of time he spends in the bath!!! I also followed the fabby sketch over on the Stampactular challenge blog.
The fabulously bright and funky papers are Basic Grey Lime Rickey, image is Penny Black, Papermania pearl gems & Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.

Stampavie & More sketch
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes to Abbie, we went to hospital today and thankfully it was good news. The blockage has been shifted and her consultant was really pleased with her, said its because we caught it quite quickly. She has to stay on the meds for a couple more days then she can come off them. The only bad news was that this could and will happen again throughout her life and we have been told to keep the meds in stock just in case, just keep our fingers crossed that it doesnt happen that often.
I have a few cards to show you tonight, but will pop them in seperate posts so they are easier to find for the challenges. I lost my internet connection last night and it was really suprising how many cards I was able to get made when not messing about on her!!!!
This card is for my sisters partner and I followed the fab sketch over on Stampaive & More.
Papers are Basic Grey Marrakech, cute Message Rabbit image, Craftwork Cards card candy & computer generated sentiment.

Wedding Card
Once again I would like to say a big thank you to all who have left such lovely messages for Abbie. She seems much better again today and is outside playing in the garden with her brother. So finally I have managed to make a card, she went down pretty early last night and I managed to get this card made for a friend of mine. I was really stuggling at first as I didnt have any suitable stamps, but then I remembered the cute FF decoupage that I have have left from when I did the demo for the shop. This is what I came up with, it is a trifold card.
The papers are from the Paperpermania Signautre range and are called Regency Hill, FF decoupage all matted and layered using Nesties, Poppicraft flowers, Anitas gem stones and a couple of Doodlebug sugar coated brads, the sentiments are computer generated and the ribbon from stash.

Abbie Update 2
Hi all,
Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to all who have left such lovely comments and best wishes for Abbie.
We have had a good day today and she has been unloading herself very well. She seems much brighter and is even back to bossing us all about. The medicine she has to take is not going down to well, they are sachets of powder that have to be dissolved in water and they taste horrible. We are using bribery with anything from chocolate to stickers anything we can think of, daddy got her a pair of new pink shoes today which really helped with the lunchtime meds and she chose a HSM handbag from the shop today for being such a brave girl. We are back at hospital on tue and I really think it will be good news.
Secondly I have been looking at a few of the challenges today as I have a few cards I need to get cracking on and I came across the challenge on Cute Card Thursday. I dont know how many of you do their challenges but this weeks really tugged at my heartstings. They have had a request from a site called Postpals who send cards, letters and gifts to sick children and this is what CCT are asking you to do this week. I popped over to the site to have a look and you have to pick a child to send your card too, I found a few children who have CF and have decided to send each one a card from Abbie. I didnt even know this charity existed but I really think it is such a good idea, especially with what we go through with Abbie sometimes when things are bad and you are really down it would give such a lift to recived a card or a letter from someone just to let you know they are thinking of you. (I recieved a card in the post today from a blogging bubby and although totally unconnected with everything thats going on with Abbie at the moment it really made my day and put a smile on my face).I have asked for Abbie to be considered as a pal and hope that one day soon she may get some cards through the box for her, she really loves opening them and I know they would make her day. If you havent seen the challenge on CCT yet, please pop over and get involved, I bet most of us have cards that are just sitting there in box send one to a sick child and give them something to smile about when they are having a bad day. I have put the link at the top of my blog under my header,I for one now know where all my extra cards will be heading.

Abbie Update
First of all I would really like to thank all of you who left a comment for Abbie, it really makes you realise the friends you gain in this blogging world.
Thought I would give you a little update, if you a tickle stomach look away now!!!!!
Abbie was taken back in last night (thursday) with bad stomach cramps, high temp & ugly rash. They have determined that she defiantely has a viral infection and possibly a water infection test results were inconclusive on the ward and have been sent down to the lab. However thats not the worst news, as you know she has cystic fibrosis and part of that condition affects her bowel movements. Her movements are much thicker and mucusy than ours and if her meds arent working properly it will cause problems, as it can turn to something that is very much like old sticky chewing gum. After a long story cut short (wont bore you with the details) and xrays this morning it appeared that she had a blockage in the bowel/intestine, now this is what she had when she was born and had to have an operation to remove the blockage. Her consultant is hoping that we have caught it in the early stages and we have been sent home today with various medicines to hopefully break down the blockage, so it can travel through the system. We have to go back up on Tue for her consultant to check her over and see if they have worked, if not then she will probably have an operation. So fingers crossed!!!!!!!

Poorly child
Hi all,
Sorry for no creations this week, my poor liitle princess had been very poorly. She has caught a nasty viral infection, which ended up with us at New Cross Hospital till 1am this morning. She seems to be a little better today, but we have to be so careful with her as the slightest thing can be more dangerous to her than a normal child.
Hope to resume normal services soon.
