Last of the sneeky peeps!!!

This is the last one I promise. My boss decided she wants me to demo the cropodile and the big bite, well guess what I dont actually own one of those (which is now gonna change) so she lent me hers to have a play with and come up with some creations ready for Sat. Well I have sat here playing tonight and I am in love!!!!!. The big bite is fantastic I am definately getting me one on Sat now (especially as Emma has a special offer on them). Anyway I started simple and this is what I came up with.

These are two pots I have decorated up very simply using some new My Minds Eye papers that we have just had in, some Papermania element stickers and a bit of ribbon. All the holes around the tops were cut out and had the eyelets put in them with the cropodile. The small one is an old gravy granuals tub and the larger one is something I found lying around the shop that used to have pencils in it.

This is a little memo holder that sticks onto the fridge by the aid of a magnet on the back. It is made from the cover of a Papermania Chipboard Album and again some fab My Minds Eye papers. I got the idea from one of the Docrafts Creativity mags. I used the big bite to do this one.

Hope you like.

Papertake Weekly & an Award

Well Dawny P has done us proud again with another fab sketch over at Papertake Weekly. Nice clean lines and a very simple and easy sketch to follow, loved working with it. I have used a fab image that I received from one of my blogging buddies and did a bit of fax stitching. Why am I doing fax you may ask when you know I got a sewing machine for christmas, well I couldnt work the bloomin thing so I took it back!.

The image is a Racheal Ann Miller, Papermania Spring Burst papers, Making Memories paper flowers with some fab Papermania glittery brads in the centre, oval sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I have also been given this lovely award from Tab, now I have to pass this on to 5 people. Now I find it really hard to chose just a small number from the long list of blogs I love to visit, so I am gonna pass this on to some blogging buddies who I havent sent one to for a while. I dont know if they have already had them so if you have sorry!!!.

All you need is LOVE!!!!

This is the theme for this weeks challenge over on the Spoon Full of Sugar Blog. They would like to see a card or gift for the one you love. Luckily I had made this little Chocolate Bar wrapper and gift tag as a sample for my Demo, which will then proably be eaten by Rich on Sat night. I orginally made the wrapper to just slide around the chocolate, then knowing what me and Rich are like I decided to seal the ends or else it proably wouldnt have made it till Sat lol!!!!.

The papers and image are all from one of the Forever Friends decoupage packs, ribbon from shop. I cant believe how simple this was to make and it looks so much nicer than just giving the chocolate.

Two Awards & a Tag!!

No cards from me tonight, havent had anytime at all today. Have been at work starting to get all the deals in place for sat. The boss came over with loads of new stuff, the shop looked like a bomb had hit it. Anyway managed to get most of it sorted by 5pm, but more stuff coming over on Fri (which is when I am next in) so will have to find places for all that. I have to say though whenever we have a demo day the boss puts some great deals on. I am getting so nervous now and keep rechecking everything, I already have my bag of stuff made up and keep checking it to see if I have everything in there (I am such a born worrier) So all I have to share with you are these 2 fab awards that I got from the lovely Shelly and a Tag from Joey & Lynsey.

Tag, the rules of this tag are to go into your picture files, pic the 6th file and then pic the 6th picture & explain it. I dont have 6 files worth of pics on my lappie, as when my computer broke I lost them all. I now save them all onto a disk, I do however have 1 file on my lappie as I havent got round to copying it to disk yet so I have pulled the 6th pic from there.

This picture is Abbie doing her Physio on her dad. As this is something she has had from when she was born it is a normal thing to Abbie and quite often she will do physio on her dolls or on one of us. In this pic daddy (rich) was trying to have a relax watching the footie and Abbie thought he was a prime candidate for physio. The blanket that Rich has got over him is Abbie's Physio Blanket it is one we have used right from the start and she associates this blanket with her physio, if we dare to try and use another one she goes mad. So there you have it a little insite into my life.

Also I will be having some blog candy up for grabs soon, just in the process of sorting it out. I have some fab news to share with you and am having some candy to celebrate. Keep your eyes peeled

Feeling Peachy

Its my niece's birthday next week so have got a couple of cards to make for her. I decided to use the 1,2,3 recipe over on the Secret Crafter blog for this card. The recipe is 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments. I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie (Leanne Ellis) that Heidi Kindly sent to me. I have had it a bit but didnt want to use it as I only had one image of each, well I plucked up the courage to be a bit cheeky and asked her if she would send me some more and Heidi very kindly said she would. So now I can use the ones I have safe in the knowledge that I will be getting some more soon.

The image is Sugar Nellie (obviously), papers are BG Sugared, flowers from poppicrafts, Dovecraft metal flower brad, Papermania crystal gems & ribbon from stash.Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards (hopefully this dosent count as an embllishment, as I already have the flower, the ribbon & the gems.
The Inside
Have used the same papers as on the front from the BG Sugared stack.

1 Card 2 challenges

Well after spending about 3 hours doing the ironing yesterday I have treated myself today with a fab lazy crafting day. I am really trying to get all the challenges out of the way for this week, so I can start fresh next week and try and keep up for once. For this reason I have made some of my cards double challenges.

This first card uses the fab sketch from Mojo Monday No.70 and the Papertake weekly challenge which was to use 3 shapes on your card. My 3 shapes are Retangle, circle & oval.

Sketch & Stash

This second card is again for my nephew and I have combined it with the Sketch & Stash Challenge blog. They have a fab sketch this week and the challenge says you have to used either something new or something that has been stashed away for ages. Well my new things are the fabulous Penny Black image which the postie kindly dropped through my letter box today and my lovely sentiment ovals from Crafwork cards. My forgotton things are these fab Dovecraft masculine paper pack which I have had ages and only use when needs must (you know making the difficult male cards)and also some little Papermania brads. I also thought about applying for GDT on the blog, but guess what time ran out yesterday. You never know maybe next time!.

There is no point giving a list of items used as I have listed them above in my explaination of the card. Hope you like and thanks for looking.

In the frame with Penny Black

First of all I would like to say a big thanks to all of you who have made lovely comments on my demo samples. I can only hope that the customers next saturday are as complimentry.
I have had to do a couple of personal cards today for my nephew who's birthday is tomorrow. I was totally unsure what to do as I find male cards really hard. Luckily for me the postie dropped off some PB images that I had brought off Ebay and there was a couple of suitable designs in there. I am hoping to be able to do some challenges this week as the last 2 weeks have been chaos and with me being ill as well I missed most of them. So am I hoping to be able to take part in most of them this week. So I have decided to enter this card in the Penny Black challenge this week which is 'In the Frame' you have to include a frame somewhere on your card. So I have mounted my image straight onto the card, then cut out a frame and mounted on top of the image with foam pads to give it some depth. I also decided to make this card not too fussy and went for just 2 patterned papers and a couple of brads. I think sometimes with male cards its best to do something quite plain and simple.

This fab surfer dude is from Penny Black coloured in with whispers pens , I have no idea of the name as I dont own the stamp. The papers are Papermania for him collection, DCWV cardstock, Papermania sentiment sticker & Dovecraft brads.

3 Sneeky peeps & 2 Challenges

Hi there I'm back and as promised have got a sneeky peep at the Forever Friends demo cards for you. The kit I was given to work with was the With Love kit so have based my cards on Valentines. The layouts of the cards are quite simple as it was more the different style of cards I wanted to show off. I have done a springy, gatefold & trifold. As these cards use Forever Friends and love images I have also decided to sneek them into the Forever Friends Challenge which is Ribbons & the Charizma Card Challenge which is LOVE !!.

Springy card, made very simply using a square card blank & the papers and decoupage from the Forever Friends Kit. Ribbon bow and sentiment added at bottom

Gatefold card, again using the Forever Friends Decoupage kit and an A5 card Blank with a little ribbon bow on corner of image.

Inside of Gatefold card.

Trifold card front view, I have tried to make the card up as a story. On this first page the bear is being given a box from her sweetheart .

On this second page the bear is seen opeing the box and hearts are flying out.

On the last page the bear is seen holding one of the hearts.

As I made the layouts quite simple I added extra interest on this card by, pricking holes all around each page with a pokey tool and adding faux stitching with a gel pen.

Hope you liked seeing these next lot of samples.

Sneeky peep No 2 - Laura Ashley

Hello there I thought I would give you another sneeky peep of some of the demo items I have made. This time I have used the new Laura Ashley Love Song range. These items put me way out of my comfort zone as they are not the normal things I use, bit too flowery for me. Having said that I really like the samples that I made and some of the papers are actually nice. I think they make great cards for older people and I am actually going to use the stuff to make my MIL a card for her 81st birthday with them, as I think she will appreciate it.

Again I have tried to make more than just cards, and also done a different style of card for variation. We have some gorgeous PM pearlesent card blanks on offer on the day for only 99p per pack, so I have used these to show them off.

This card was made with the PM card blank, Laura Ashley die cut decoupage set, papers & brads, All put together with some simple matting and layering and finished with a gorgeous piece of ribbon.

This card was again made with the Laura Ashley decoupage set & papers. I folded back the front of the card on itself to give a zig zag shape, again was put together with some simple matting and layering.

This is actually a wallet, I cut the front of the card in half and then with the fold at the top, stuck the piece back on as the bottom along 3 of the edges. I left the top edge open to slide things in. The decoupage flower is only stuck on at the bottom and the top flap folds in behind the flower head. Finished of with a brad.

This little tag was made using the Big Shot and 3 dies flower, Circle & scalloped circle (something else I am gonna be demoing, we will be doing a half price deal on sizzix dies ). I again used the Laura Ashley papers and brads and the PM cardstock.

Last but not least is a little gift box I have made, so simply buy using one of the Sq card blanks cut in half, scored, folded and stuck together. Finished off with a Laura Ashley decoupage flower on the top and ribbon round the edges of the lid.

Hope you have liked seeing a different style of things from me and also something other than just cards. Will be back soon with some Forever Friends sneeky peeps!!!

Smirk meets Cute Card Thursday & 2 lovely awards!!

Here is another demo card that I made using the new Smirk range. I have tried to be a different with this card and have cut an apeture in the front and placed the decoupage image behind it. The sentiment on the front has been cut out from one of the papers and matted onto DCWV cardstock. I thought of a great sentiment to put on the inside with the decoupage. For this reason I have decided to enter this in the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is 'have a giggle' where you have to make a humorus card. The card is quite simple as I dont want to baffle people with OTT cards, I want them to come to the demo and think 'hey thats good doesnt look too hard I can do that' do you know what I mean!.

The Inside with computer generated sentiment.

Hope you like.

I have also been given 2 lovely awards from the lovely Lesley & Carly.

I have been a busy little bee over the last few days making some samples up and I thought I would give you a little sneeky peep. We have decided to focus on 3 new product ranges that have recently come into the shop. Forever Friends decoupage, the new Laura Ashley range and the brand new range from Trimcraft called SMIRK!!.

Here are some pics of some of the creations I have made using the new Smirk range. I think this is gonna be a range that you either love or hate with avengance. I personally love it, it is so fun and funky and perfect for young teenage girls.

These are the 4 card samples I have made using the die cut decoupage packs, paper packs glitter tags & funky brads.

I love this gorgeous little notebook and pencil set made with the papers, stamps & funky brads.

This little bookmark was made using up bits of scrap, ribbon and a brad.

This stationary set was so easy to make from and A5 card blank, papers, stamps & brads.
The Front

The inside

Mojo Monday wk 69

Last card from me tonight, I just wanted to get the sketch for Mojo Monday in before it was too late. I have gone a bit more grown up with this card, and have chosen an image from one of the fabulous Kerry Jo sketches. Ran into a slight mishap though and punched the circle slightly to the right to much so have tried to balance the left side out with the 3 flowers (hope this has worked). I also got to use my fabby new Fiskars lace punch I really really want a MSDP but this will have to do, however my gorgeous daddy has just ordered one off ebay for me and is paying for it for my birthday (which isnt till April) so I cant have it till then. We call my dad 'The Ebay King' as he has a shop on there and buys and sells collectable Vintage Corgi Cars and Icons, he has a massive collection of them worth a fortune and Oli loves to go round there and look at them. So whenever I want anything off ebay dads the man in the know!!.

The backing paper is Doodlebug, with Bazzill Bling cardstock punched with Fiskars lace border punch. Kerry Jo image, Prima flowers with Papermania pearl brads and Craftwork Cards oval sentiment.
The inside

Again Doodlebug paper, Bazzill Bling cardstock, Prima flower with PM pearl brad and HOTP card quote.
