Mojo Monday wk 58

This card was made using the Mojo Monday wk 58 sketch. I found the sketch really easy to work with as it was a very simple sketch. I quite like the less is more effect sometimes.

The image is a penny Black sent to me in a swap. The papers are Craft House Plum Pudding and the circle message is my own computer generated design.

Demo Day !!!!

Had a hectic day at the shop today, we were holding a Docrafts Demo Day. We had a lovely designer Dawn Inskip, who can fold a piece of paper into within an ich of its life and create some amazing designs. I have been paying attention like a good girl and will hopefully soon be uploading some of my own creations using these techniques. I also met up with a few friends who always come to the demo days so had a bit of a chance to chat in between running around like a lunatic. I also had a lovely surprise when one of the ladies from the Docrafts forum came into to say hello, thank you so much for popping in it was lovely to see you. I have returned home so exhausted dont know how my fingers are managing to type, and so full of choccy's I dont think i can bear to see another one (at least till tomorrow anyway lol!!!). So its an early night for me.

Whif of Joy

These two cards were yet again made from images I received in an image swap. I have been so lucky and have received some fantastic images just lately. I fell in love with stamp when I saw it on Katharina's blog and was so thrilled when i received them images I didnt want to use them in case I spoiled it.

The papers used on these cards were from Craft House in the Plum Pudding Collection, Dovecraft brad and Organza Ribbon, the flowers were from a bunch of daisys i got at a bargin price of £1 (you wouldnt believe how many blooms I got just out of that 1 bunch.

Cute & Funny

I made the following cards from images I was kindly sent in an image swap, they were just so cute and funny I had
to make cards out of them.
These two were made using a Penny Black image (i think) and DCWV Christmas wishes paperstack and brads. The greeting is computer generated I just couldn't resist the pun.
This one was made using an image i yet again received in an image swap (i think is Penny Black not sure though!)
The papers are from Craft House and the collection is called Plum Pudding.

Anniversay Card

I made this card the other day for my grandparents. It was a quick card as I forgot and had to make one quickly in the morning as my mom was going over to see them in the afternoon. However I just love the image of the two mice, again I have no idea who is the stamp is as I received it in an image swap. The papers however are from Basic Grey this collection is called Urban Prairie and it is SOOOOOOO gorgeous, I want everything in it brads, rub ons, chipboards etc. but am a bit skint at the mo, so might have to ask Santa for them.

More Christmas Cards

Well sorry for not posting yesterday, but I blame all you. I spent so long yesterday looking at other peoples lovely blogs,(see list) I didnt make any cards to update my own blog with, until 12pm last night, then was to tired to publish to the blog. So here are the 2 quick cards I made last night.

The papers are from Craft House and are the WinterWonderland Collection. The images were received from a friend so I have no idea who they are, but I think they are lovely images for a young girls card. For this reason I chose the paper pack with its lovely pastel colour scheme. The Circle Message is one of my own designs, which hopefully will soon be turned into a stamp (watch this space!!).

Boy Cards

I had to do another 2 boys cards today. One for my brother who was 10 today and 1 for my sons friend who is an Aston Villa Fan. I dont really like doing boys cards as I find them quite boring as you cant get all blingy with gem stones & ribbons & flowers etc, so I think these cards are quite plain. I did have another attempt at the distressing and I was quite pleased with the results.

Distressed Cards

Had to do some cards today for young boys. Decided to be brave and use my Basic Grey precision file set that has been lurking around in my craft drawers for a couple of months. I did the first and distressed the background cardstock, and using the new Lilly of the valley papers and Die cuts Jamine & oliver came up with these. Got a bit braver on the second one and actually ripped some of the paper but i think it adds to the effect. I have also been designing my own circle messages so made some appropriate the cards.

I also went to the Docrafts Demo day at Prima Crafts in Sedgley - it is the sister shop to where I work in Wednesfield. Had lots of fun meeting up with the other girls and having a chat, and while Oli & Abbie were upstairs in the craft room i grabbed myself these little bargins. They were brand new into the shop for the Demo Day and hadn't been filtered over to my shop yet so i got them while i could, just incase they sold out.
